Yvonne and Monzell take a lie detector test.
The episode begins with Yvonne showing up with daughters Britney and Whitney. Yvonne told her daughters their father molested them.
Their family has been rocked by this revelation.
Monzell shows up next with Nichole.
“This just disturbed my spirit.” – Whitney
Two years prior to Fix My Life, Nichole and Whitney had a physical confrontation with Whitney’s child directly in the middle of it.
Whitney immediately begins with them all with showing a video where Yvonne says a lie-detector test would finally get things back to normal. Iyanla grants their future and sets them all up with a lie detector test.
Whitney wants to be on Team Truth.
To demonstrate the divide in the family, Iyanla gives them t-shirts. On Team Dad is Monzell and Nichole. Team mom is Britney and Yvonne. Whitney is on, “Team Truth.”
As Monzell stays with the lie detector test, Nichole sits with Iyanla. Nichole calls Yvonne her “carrier,” and says Yvonne allowed Nichole to fight her sisters. Iyanla notices that Nichole chose to separate herself from the family and forces her to confront her pain.
During their time, Nichole revealed that Yvonne put her in foster care because she wouldn’t tell a judge she was molested by her father. This made Nichole felt abandoned. This abandonment separated her from Yvonne and her siblings.
Nichole also revealed that Yvonne told her best friend that Nichole’s chlld was fathered by Monzell.
At the end of the session, Nichole breaks down crying in Iyanla’s arms.
Nichole and Whitney clash again.
Iyanla wants to get to the bottom of Nichole pain of abandonment. So she takes Nichole outside and requests Whitney to join them. But when Whitney and Nichole together, Whitney’s guard is all the way up.
The two sisters begin to argue and Iyanla has to separate them. Whitney says she doesn’t want to have a relationship with Nichole. Eventually, Nichole is sent away. Iyanla says their pain and anger between them runs deep. As the oldest sister, Iyanla feels Nichole needs to demonstrate an ability to deal with anger.
Next, Iyanla and Whitney sit down for a one on one. Here, Iyanla reveals that at three, Whitney left with her father somewhere and came back home with blood in her panties. However, Whitney can’t definitely say she was molested.
When asked why she’s not Team Mom, Whitney says Yvonne let her stay with a man who possibly molested her. When asked how it would feel if her mother is lying, Whitney breaks down in tears.
Iyanla pulls out receipts.
At this point, Iyanla isn’t sure if Yvonne is being truthful so she meets with her next. Yvonne says Nichole and Whitney were raped by their father. Monzell and Yvonne divorced after a violent incident.
After being divorced, Yvonne picked up Whitney and discovered blood in Whitney panties after Monzell dropped her off.
Iyanla pulled the case documents from the State of North Carolina regarding the accusations. The medical reports don’t conclude that a rape or molestation took place. The “blood” in her panties were actually popsicle stains.
Despite this, Yvonne believes the panties were switched by the people at the hospital for the case. A letter was hand written granting custody to their father 10 years after the molestation allegations came to be. Iyanla was confused by this and Yvonne says she allowed it because they were old enough to protect themselves.
Yvonne reveals her kid’s father started out as her side man.
To back further, Iyanla asked about how they met. Monzell asked Yvonne out while she was in love with another man. She slept with Monzell because she was without s*x for four months with her main guy.
She got pregnant with Nichole and told her boyfriend. Her boyfriend told her to tell everyone Nichole was his daughter. Monzell told Yvonne to have Nichole because Yvonne wanted to abort her. Iyanla tells Yvonne that one place she was wanted was with her father.
While the truth isn’t clear, Iyanla still wants to get to the bottom if it.
Next, Iyanla takes Yvonne to the “Radical Truth Room.” Iyanla tells Yvonne is she can’t come in until she’s ready to tell the truth.

On the wall there’s places for Yvonne to write truths she wants her daughters to know and what she wants to know. Britney comes in yet to write her thoughts.
Iyanla preps the family for the lie detector results.
It’s day two and Iyanla has the lie detector test results. Monzell and Yvonne took the lie detector test.
Before the results are revealed, Monzell meets with Iyanla. Monzell explains Yvonne calls him angrily because of the stains in Whitney’s underwear. He wanted to take Whitney to the hospital and Yvonne put up a resistance.
While taking Whitney to the hospital, police catch up with him and arrest him for kidnapping.
Iyanla consoles her as Whitney expresses thoughts of fear and sadness of her father possibly molesting her. Iyanla tells Whitney that she has to accept that he did it if Yvonne’s telling the truth.
Iyanla then takes Whitney to the Truth Room with everyone else. When Britney and Nichole walk in, Britney and Whitney share an embrace.
The episode ends with Iyanla about to reveal the lie detector test results.
