Mo’Nique is back in the headlines.
And it’s all because it’s now being reported that she got into it with Steve Harvey after she dropped by his talk show for an interview.
According to The Jasmine Brand, things popped off after Steve told her she should apologize for her recent comments on Whoopi Goldberg.
During an interview with Vulture, Mo’Nique expressed her frustrations with Whoopi telling Monique she should have called her so she could “school her” on how to handle the “Precious” drama.
Here’s what Mo’Nique told Vulture:
When I sat there on that platform on The View, I felt sorry. I had empathy for my sister Whoopi Goldberg. Because what you’re saying to me is, “You must work for free. I could’ve schooled you.” The very thing I went to The View to speak about was the very thing I experienced on The View. You give me three minutes to talk about inequality? Well, I was there the whole show. When you have a woman saying, “I could have schooled you,” someone would say, “What was the schooling going to be?” When I look at this woman you say is our icon and our legend — she is. But, how many things has Whoopi Goldberg executive produced? Whoopi Goldberg has always been the help, and I say that humbly. So what is it that you’re going to school me on? I’ve been doing it for almost 30 years.
The Jasmine Brand is reporting that Steve confronted Mo’Nique about her comments on Whoopi, Oprah, Tyler and Lee on his show “Steve.”
It allegedly led to an argument and Mo’Nique reportedly threatened to slap Steve.
Steve then allegedly told Mo’Nique that if she were to slap him, her husband Sidney would have to come out and square up.
The report also claimed that the cameras were rolling and it’s unclear if the confrontation will actually air.
Interestingly enough, Mo’Nique denied clashing with Steve on Instagram.
