Jojo and Veronica continue to clash.
As they scream at each other, security keeps them from getting physical.
It’s clear that both women may never be able to move forward from their beef.
Meanwhile, Trick and Khaotic prepare to hand out their food. They are ready to be judged and for the winner of the cook off to be declared. Trick ends up winning.
Shay spots Jojo and walks over to confront her.
She calls Jojo an angry bird before she snatches off Jojo’s wig. Security restrains them.
Both Jojo and Amara are convinced their friendship can’t be restored.
Amara’s mother has started an empanada business.
They talk and Amara updates her mother on all of the drama with Jojo and Bobby.
Amara is ready to move on and her mother says that Bobby is just jealous so many people love Amara. As for Jojo, Amara feels like Jojo was probably never really her friend.
Back at Jojo’s condo, she’s convinced Amara really did put some strong roots on her.
She’s upset that Veronica threw a shoe at her and Shay snatched off her wig at the cook off.
Jojo vents to her mother about everything. She breaks down in tears and says that she knows Amara put roots on her because a spiritual advisor told her so.
The advisor says something was put in her food. Since she’s had dinner with Amara multiple times, Amara could have put something in her food one of those times.
She was told she has to do a cleanse and a ritual to remove the roots.
Jojo will have to call her dad for help on this.
Khaotic, Young Hollywood and Prince hit the studio.
They are joined by Nejo, a reggaeton artist.
Prince plays his song for them.
Nejo likes the song and this encourages Prince.
Khaotic is disappointed in losing the cook off but he has more pressing issues to worry about. He was offered a plea deal for his recent arrest.
Then he also has his father trying to be in his life. He’s a preacher but Khaotic doesn’t want to talk.
Jojo is flying out to Mexico.
Her father knows someone there who can remove the roots place on Jojo.
She’s just ready to get her life back on track.
Shay and Amara hug it out.
Prince has a listening party.
Amara and Michelle Pooch come out.
They have some small talk and Michelle tells Amara that Trick has a crush on her.
Although Amara wants them to just remain friends, she is still open to an innocent date.
Not too long after, Shay arrives.
She tells Michelle that Amara cut her off for Jojo. Amara apologizes and she and Shay hug it out.
“I have genuine love for you, Amara.” – Shay
Veronica shows up.
They then discuss Shay snatching off Jojo’s wig at Trick’s cook off.
“When’s the last time you’ve seen Veronica because she’s here.” – Shay
Amara is shocked that Veronica is in the building.
She wants to be above the drama and she’s not sure how things are going to play out with Veronica.
Prince gets on the stage and performs.
It’s his first performance and Prince is feeling confident.
The performance is well received by the audience.
Liz says that she knew Prince would shine once he got away from Bobby.
Khaotic checks out Liz. In a green screen interview, he says Liz probably wants a real man.
Amara is ready to end her feud with Veronica.
She walks over so they can talk.
“I mean I don’t know where to start, really.” – Veronica
Veronica says that she always felt like she related to Amara. But she didn’t like that Amara called her fake over the Young Hollywood situation.
She also doesn’t like the fact that Amara didn’t defend her when people called her racist.
“This changed the course of my entire life. I have never said anything racist.” – Veronica
Amara says that they weren’t friends at the time and Veronica needs to take responsibility for her own actions. But she apologizes and so does Veronica.
They hug it out and agree to move forward.
Jojo is back from Mexico.
Bobby comes to her boutique to get a recap of her trip to Mexico.
She tells him the ritual was the weirdest thing to happen to her. She’s in a much better place and she’s completely done with Amara.
Jojo also will just let karma deal with Amara.
Trick and Amara go horseback riding.
Amara invites her mother with her.
It’s the first time Amara has ever rode a horse.
So she’s a bit nervous.
But she ends up having a good time. Plus, she feels Trick was very sweet.
Afterwards, they discuss her recent blowup with Bobby and Jojo.
“They gon need more than voodoo to get me off they a*s.” – Trick
Trick tells Amara not to worry about her haters.
Khaotic sees his father.
They meet at a nearby park.
His father says that he’s been where Khaotic is. He was shot in the back of the head and almost died.
Khaotic himself was shot 15 times.
When his father learned Khaotic was shot, he broke down and got on his knees to pray.
Both men are hurt that they never had a relationship.
This makes Khaotic break down in tears.
Khaotic’s dad asks for forgiveness and tells him that he loves him. He truly wants them to get to know each other.
This touches Khaotic and he agrees that he wants to work on developing a relationship.
They hug it out and agree to throw a football around.
