“Basketball Wives” is approaching season 8.
Although the show has been around for years, the backlash hasn’t waned.
And at this point, most of the cast isn’t actually married to basketball players.
So some wonder why the show has held on to its title.
The cast addressed this in an interview with VH1.
Most of them feel the critics just need to get over it.
Shaunie actually revealed that it’s very hard to cast actual basketball wives.
Here’s what she had to say:
It’s extremely hard to get ladies on the show that are married or in a current relationship with a basketball player. Why? Because it opens up Pandora’s Box.
