The kids are affected by Contessa’s time in Tennessee.
Jackie and Curtis have two women over to discuss the renovations they want to be made to their home. Curtis isn’t exactly loving some of Jackie’s ideas, including the chandelier in the closet. Regardless, Jackie is happy to finally get the changes she’s been wanting. And Curtis will just have to deal.
Scott and Contessa spend some time with the kids in the park. In a green screen interview, Contessa says she feels like Scott isn’t as emotionally supportive of the kids as she is. The kids admit that they don’t like that she’s been in Tennessee going back to school. Their youngest daughter tells Contessa that she sometimes forgets about Contessa when she’s not around.
Quad and Simone agree to move forward.
Buffie, Simone’s friend, is throwing another end of tax season party. The theme requires everyone to keep their entire outfits under $500. En route to the party, Quad discusses Simone to Heavenly. And Simone discusses Quad to Jackie. Quad wants an apology from Simone. And Simone says that they have already addressed what happened at the crab boil. And at this point, she wants an apology from Quad. When Quad and Simone see each other, they agree that they can work out their problems despite their recent blowup.
When Mariah sees Heavenly, she tells Heavenly that cheap dresses look good on her. Heavenly laughs and nearly says another “yo momma” clap back in her green screen interview.
Toya and Eugene clash with Joseline.
Joseline Hernandez comes around and Buffie says they have been friends for 5 years. She is a client of Buffie’s. Joseline ends up clashing with Toya after Toya says being a mother is a full-time job. And Joseline shades Toya about her past tax debt and says she looks “thrifty.” Toya warns Joseline not to come for her personal business. Mariah takes Toya to the bathroom and Toya says she doesn’t want to argue with a “ghetto b*tch” in her green screen interview. Buffie follows behind and apologizes for Joseline’s actions. Eugene comes in and says Joseline just snapped on him, too. He told her not to call Toya a hoe and Joseline went off. Frustrated with it all, Toya and Eugene decide to leave.
With the party in the past, Mariah meets up with Toya. Toya vents about the party briefly and says that she doesn’t like how Buffie handled the situation with Joseline. And she has no plans to move forward with Buffie. But she’s off that and looking forward to her upcoming birthday party. Later on, Contessa’s oldest daughter admits she has been having anger issues due to Contessa’s absence.
Buffie pops up.
Toya has decided to have a sip and paint event for her 43rd birthday. Contessa and Kari Wells are invited. Buffie is not. In a green screen interview, Toya says she’s moving on from her past issues with Contessa. They even hug when Contessa arrives. Simone brings Buffie to the party anyway. Toya isn’t thrilled about this but Simone wants Toya to give her another chance.
At the start of the event, Toya tells everyone that she had a miscarriage. It hit her hard. So she just wanted to have something that was positive. In a green screen interview, Contessa says she had no idea and her heart goes out to Toya. Buffie hugs Toya and offers condolences.
Some male models come out. And they aren’t wearing any clothes. Heavenly decides not to tell Dr. Damon about this.
