Scott vents to Cecil.
The husbands are enjoying having some time away from their wives. While the women are in Savanah, Damon makes music. Aydin plays pool. And Eugene handles the kids and the pool. Scott comes by Simone and Cecil’s house. They decide to hang out at Cecil’s bar, also known as “The Boom Boom Room.”
Scott says he’s feeling like the mean parent these days. And he’s been having friction with Contessa. Her quitting school has only made things worse. He’s hoping he’s not the reason she left the program.
As for Contessa, she chose the program because it was less expensive and only a year long. So she’s a bit resentful that she left it. Jackie says that balance is important. In her opinion, Contessa wants to have it all as a wife, career woman and a mother. But that’s not possible. Contessa doesn’t want to have to wait to pursue her dreams until she’s in her 60s.
Meanwhile, Cecil tells Scott to consider getting some counseling with Contessa. It really helped him and Simone. In a green screen interview, he says counseling has helped them be less selfish.
Mariah is over it.
The morning after the blowup, Toya and Mariah catch up. Mariah is over arguing about her sobriety. As for Toya, she says Mariah needs to show people the results to her drug tests. Apparently Mariah was already steps ahead as she had Aydin send the results overnight.
Later that night, Jackie has all the women put on masks. They go to a barn wearing the masks to have a masquerade dinner. When they get there, Jackie says they should remove the masks and be who they really are.
As they get drinks at the bar, Contessa names all her girl crushes. The list includes Angela Bassett, Michelle Obama, and Oprah Winfrey. In a green screen interview, Toya says she was open about her s*x life before she married Eugene.
Simone brings up Mariah and Quad’s feud.
When they all sit at the dinner table, Simone brings up the feud between Quad and Mariah. She says she’s disappointed and disgusted by how things have turned out. In a green screen interview, Simone says the feud has created a black cloud on the group. She then breaks down in tears and leaves the table. Contessa, Quad, Buffie follow behind.
After they leave, Mariah says it was heinous to be accused of doing drugs. In the bathroom, Simone says she’s known Mariah for years and she’s never seen her do drugs. She doesn’t believe Quad. But Quad refuses to back down.
Jackie refuses to look at Mariah’s results.
At the table, Heavenly storms off after Toya says that Heavenly said she believed the accusations. Mariah says that there is nothing she can do to prove her innocence to some people. Toya hands the results from the drug tests to Jackie. She says she doesn’t want to see them because she doesn’t want to pick sides. So she hands the results back to Mariah.
This upsets Mariah and she decides to go back to the bus. Back at the table, Toya asks Jackie to go back to the bus. But Jackie says she can’t do that right now. On the bus, Mariah talks to the bus driver about Game of Thrones.
In the bathroom, Quad says she’s never going to be friends with Mariah again. And she wants Simone to understand that. Contessa comes back to the bus with everyone’s dinners boxed up.
Jackie and Mariah have a positive moment.
The next day the group visits a historical church. When they get inside, Jackie asks everyone to give their testimony about the one thing they are grateful for. Quad goes first and says her divorce has made her bare and she breaks down in tears. Simone shows her annoyance in her green screen interview.
Mariah gets up and apologizes to Jackie for them clashing. Jackie accepts and hugs Mariah. She tells Mariah her heart is open and she hopes they can work on things.
Eugene questions Jackie’s choices.
Toya and Eugene meet up with Aydin and Mariah for a bite to eat. They talk about Jackie refusing to look at the results from the drug tests. Eugene looks at them and says that they are legit. The lab Mariah went to is one of the best and most respected. And one of the tests Mariah took can go back years. In his opinion, it just seems like Jackie didn’t want to look at the results because she’s not here for Mariah. Regardless, she was wrong to repeat the accusations the way she did on the podcast.
Mariah agrees and says that she sees that Jackie is just as messy as the other women. She just hides behind her scrubs. So she will move accordingly now on.
