Heavenly is not over Damon’s good time.
The women ask the men about their night with the strippers. When they ask who got a lap dance, the men are quiet. Toya says she’s not worried about Eugene because no one has the booty she has. The group can sense that Heavenly is still upset about the good time Damon had.
When they get on the bus, Simone says that she’s been in touch with a foundation, and the doctors are heading to a destination to give free check-ups.
The group then competes in some physical contests on the beach. Toya shades Quad in her green screen interview for showing up in a pair of jeans. She still doesn’t understand why Quad came on another couples trip. One event involves the women twerking balls out of the box attached to their hips. The men must catch the balls. One of the hotel employees partners up with Quad.
The couples are forced to swap.
In the next activity, Simone makes the couples swap spouses. Quad and Aydin are paired. And so are Damon and Mariah as well as Cecil and Heavenly.
The exercise requires people being back to back and getting a ball to the finish line. Mariah and Damon win first place. In a green screen interview, Mariah brags about winning and says Damon didn’t cheat “this time.”
At lunch, Contessa tells everyone that she went to a swingers club on accident. In a green screen interview, Toya wonders how that’s even possible. But Contessa says she was with a guy and it wasn’t her fault.
Jackie gets icy with Buffie.
Later on, the group has a party to celebrate the Day of the Dead. Everyone gets their faces painted, except Cecil and Damon.
At dinner, Simone surprises Cecil with that love letter he’s been wanting. It’s an emotional moment for the couple.
After Simone asks people what they want to leave there and what they want to resurrect, Buffie says she wants to leave pettiness. And she wants to resurrect empathy.
Jackie gets mad and says she wants to leave toxic friendships and she wants to take home authentic friendships.
Quad’s divorce is almost official.
After Quad and the others return to Atlanta, her divorce lawyer comes over so Quad can sign the settlement agreement in order for the divorce to be final. It will be the last time she signs her name as Quad Webb-Lunceford. Now they only have one more hearing left. Quad gets emotional and says she never thought she’d be a divorcee.
Curtis has some complaints.
Jackie is running late. She is supposed to be meeting Curtis to look at custom kitchen ideas. When she gets there, Curtis tells her she’s regressing and starting to overwork herself again. This is something he had an issue with years ago and he believed it caused a major strain on their marriage. Jackie is surprised he feels this way because she included him in all of her current projects including home and office renovations.
Contessa and Scott continue to struggle.
Dr. Littlejohn pays a visit to Contessa and Scott’s home. The couple is grateful that the therapist makes house calls. It doesn’t take long before Contessa and Scott clash after Scott tells Contessa she should go back to school if she resents quitting.
Contessa says Scott turned the kids against her by telling them that she didn’t have to go to school in Tennessee. He says he didn’t but producers flashback to a scene of him telling the kids that Contessa likes to drag people places. She dragged him to Atlanta and he’s happy she didn’t drag them to Nashville.
The couple is told that they will have to do a lot of work to get to a better place.
