It’s been rumored that Gizelle Bryant has been trying to push Monique Samuels off the show. And she’s using the altercation between Monique and Candiace Dillard to do just that.
During the trailer for the upcoming season, Gizelle said that “Real Housewives of Potomac” has always stayed above the stereotypes.
But Monique has made that impossible after she assaulted Candiace. So Gizelle no longer wants to be around Monique.
Monique recently talked to fans on Instagram Live. And when a fan asked her if she learned anything from watching the trailer, Monique addressed Gizelle’s comment. And she said, “But one thing I took away looking at the trailer, it’s almost like I just did the entire black race a disservice and proved a point about the black race. But we got all kinds of Housewives shows with all kinds of nationalities and everybody fights. Everybody gets into stuff that they probably regretted and wish they could have rewind time. At the end of the day, it’s not about race. It’s about being human. And then get to a point where you can control whatever emotions you need to control. Control your hands and also knowing what triggers you have. And unfortunately for me, that’s something I had to learn about myself. And it was good for me in the end because I did a lot of digging and found some things that I probably forgot about and I just didn’t think were significant and it allowed me to grow even more as a person.”
She refuses to allow the situation to make her the face for the whole Black race. Monique said, “But we not going to say that Monique Samuels is the cause for people to think black people are bad.”
She added, “I think if it were a situation where you have seven or eight housewives shows black, white, Hispanic and nobody ever had a moment where they got physical on none of them shows, and then all of a sudden here comes the black show and here she comes getting physical or whatever…that would have made more sense if that were the case.”
