Issa’s seemingly done with Molly.
Issa’s waking up recapping her altercation with Molly at the block party. But she got a positive recap about the event. Meanwhile, she’s checking her voicemails from Kelli, Ahmal, and her intern.
She then talks to herself in the mirror and comes to the conclusion not to reach out to Molly apologizing for what happened. Instead, Issa initiates a solo self-care Sunday. Nathan calls while he’s in the shop and tells Nathan he should be proud of what happened.
Issa helps others in need.
Later on, Issa is at the grocery store when she notices someone who’s pregnant and short on cash. She offers to pay for their groceries but her card got declined. Next, a man runs after a bus and she offers him a ride. The ride gets awkward when he complains about the temperature in the car. But things calm down somewhat when he reminisces about his younger days. Things get chaotic again when he needs to be rushed to a bathroom.
Issa links with a DC bridal party.
Eventually, Issa gets the man to his destination, and he thanks Issa and she is able to make it to her paint and sip. She meets up with a bridal party from Washington DC. Kelli called twice, leaving voicemails. But Issa got invited to join the Bridal party at a bar. Issa’s asked what she does for a living and she convinced the ladies that she’s the plug for celebrities and events.
But things go awry when she’s seemingly ditched by the girls and discovered she’s just a pawn for a scavenger hunt. She found their scavenger hunt list and stalks the girls. After fantasizing about attacking the women, she decides to call her mom and stops by for a visit.
Issa’s mom lends a listening ear.
Issa tells her mom that the event went well but cries and vents about Molly. Her mom tells Issa that they could just be growing apart. She then tells Issa that she’s very talented in many things that she does. Eventually, Issa calls Kelli who does her best to get Issa to reach out to Molly.
Afterward, Issa makes it home, rolls a joint, and hops on Facebook and replies to comments about the event on Facebook. Since she doesn’t have food in the fridge, she goes back out for Ethiopian food. It’s here where she sees Molly for the first time at the bar. Instead of going in, she gets back in her car.
