Fans have created a petition.
NeNe Leakes and Mariah Huq are getting some support. Both recently opened up about the behind the scenes politics on their shows. Now some “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and “Married to Medicine” fans are ready to fight back.
These fans agree with both women. And they feel as if the black women on the network aren’t getting the same treatment as their white counterparts. So they are now calling out Bravo and demanding that the network make some changes.
In fact, they recently created a petition. The petition was started on the Change.org website. You can check it out here. So far it has over 300 signatures.
Bravo is addressing racism in an upcoming special.
In related news, Bravo is tackling racism with “Race in America: A Movement Not a Moment”. The special airs Sunday, August 9, at 10 PM ET/PT. Many stars of the network are involved, including Porsha Williams, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Dr. Britten Cole, Gizelle Bryant, Kandi Burruss, and Todd Tucker. Kandi is also an Executive Producer. In the special, stars get candid about their experiences and views on racism.
