Marsau has concerns about LaTisha.

Maurice is hanging with JB at the pool hall bar when Marsau arrives for a game of pool. Maurice has the bar exam in 10 days and he’s stressed over it. Meanwhile, Marsau has been working on multiple multi-family projects in Huntsville. Marsau’s excited about the projects but seemingly feels like LaTisha doesn’t have the same excitement. He compares this to winning a championship and LaTisha’s not cheering it on. Maurice says that LaTisha has plenty on her plate. However, Marsau says LaTisha seemingly cares more about her podcast and not Scholt Industries.

Overall, Marsau wants to find out if LaTisha has the same goal. Marsau also advises Maurice not to press Kimmi about joining his business, Credit One. He warns Maurice that pressing this could do nothing but cause Maurice to have a frustrated sister, who’s been managing the business, and a frustrated wife.

LaTisha seemingly reveals past struggles in her marriage.

Speaking of LaTisha, she has a radio interview with Toni Terrell to talk about the live taping of her podcast. LaTisha tells Toni that Cedarric and his wife Adaria will be on the panel along with Maurice, Kimmi, and Marsau.

Things get interesting when Toni asks LaTisha how long she’s been married to Marsau. LaTisha says they’ve been married 13 years but the first 5 years were rough after Toni asked if there’s such thing as the “7-year itch.” Specifically, she says she’s happy they had a child early on because it made her want to work things out with Marsau.

In her interview, LaTisha says that people don’t honor the vows of marriage like they used to. In fact, she says you don’t just walk away from your marriage when things get tough.

Tensions rise between Martell and Melody.

Martell is at home with the kids and they are seemingly frustrating him. Melody comes home without food, which upsets Martell. Instead, Melody has her script for the play she agreed to. When they go into their bedroom, Martell brings up his frustrations with Melody doing all of these things while Martell’s at home. She tells Martell she’s trying to make all of her goals happen. Things get tense when Melody asks when was the last time he cooked breakfast, bringing up she cooked two meals a few days prior. Martell angrily says that he doesn’t have to cook because he has a wife.

Next, Melody tells Martell about the premise of the play which seemingly rubs Martell the wrong way. He feels that Melody taking the role of a preacher’s wife whose husband cheated on her would make them relive Martell’s cheating past. He doesn’t want Melody to take the role but Melody puts her foot down. In his interview, Martell says he’s at his limit.

At the end of their conversation, Melody tells Martell she booked a session with Dr. Francis.

Later that night, Kimmi and Milli are hanging out. The Scotts have a lot going on with Maurice studying for the bar. So, he’s essentially locked in a room, isolated to study. Monster comes up in their conversation and they both agree that Maurice might be going at this the wrong way about Monster living with Kiwuha when she moves down to Huntsville. Things get interesting when Milli asks Kimmi what’s going to happen if she finally quits her job and asks if she wants to work at Credit One.

Kimmi tells Milli that she doesn’t want to work at Credit One as it’s not her vision. If she does quit being a nurse, she’ll just do real estate full-time.

The next day, Melody meets with the rest of the cast for the play and the playwright Iama for a table read. In her interview, Melody says her role is close to what she experienced with Martell.

Wanda confronts Melody

Later that night, LaTisha’s excited and nervous about her live recording of the Mommy Podcast. Marsau’s been traveling out of state but managed to make it to the taping on time. In the audience are Destiny and Wanda. Wanda is surprised to see Melody walk in to sit next to Destiny.

During the recording, Marsau says God is the most important thing in their marriage. La’Berrick annoys Destiny when he blurts out that the Bible says that God gives men the word to lead their family.

Melody seemingly gets annoyed when LaTisha asks a question about a power couple, noting that all of Huntsville knows her and Martell are the city’s power couple. She also points out that LaTisha made her podcast logo very similar to hers and tells LaTisha to get out of her shadow.

Things seemingly get tense when it’s asked if infidelity is a marriage deal-breaker and Maurice says it can be.

Cedarric says it’s not really a deal-breaker but it depends on a situation. Kimmi says that she and Maurice agreed that infidelity is a deal-breaker. Marsau says he would feel more hurt and anger if LaTisha would tell him. Melody says he’s trying to make an excuse for himself for when he’s eventually caught.

Afterward, La’Berrick asks Melody where’s Martell. Melody tells him he isn’t coming and La’Berrick says Martell told him not to come. Next, LaTisha gets a gift from Melody, a literal olive branch. LaTisha hopes it’s the end of drama between them.

Marsau, meanwhile, gets the benefit of the doubt from Destiny when she tells him that he’ll get the blueprints in 48 hours. This will really help Marsau meet the May 1st deadline she has.

Wanda then confronts Melody while Melody’s talking to Kimmi. She tells Melody that she should’ve been kicked out and still feels Kimmi’s not loyal to LaTisha. However, Melody politely shuts Wanda down and tells her she’s refusing to disrespect an elder. She cuts the conversation short and walks away.

Kimmi and LaTisha have a talk.

The next night, Kimmi and LaTisha are hanging out and LaTisha wants to thank Kimmi for being on the panel. Kimmi brings up how Wanda confronted Melody and her, again. Kimmi tells LaTisha that she’s going to cuss her out if Wanda isn’t careful. LaTisha explains that she felt she had no one in her corner last season except Wanda. Her other friends tell LaTisha that it didn’t appear that Kimmi had her back.

Kimmi tells LaTisha that she’s not going to keep defending stuff when she could be wrong. She also brings up that LaTisha said things that could damage the Holts’ marriage. A flashback is played from the reunion when LaTisha questioned if Melody tried to sleep with Marsau. Lastly, Kimmi doesn’t want to be in the middle of Melody and LaTisha anymore. She also can’t say 100% that Marsau didn’t cheat.

LaTisha tells Kimmi she expects Kimmi to have her back and to defend her and her marriage in public and against Melody. But Kimmi stands her ground and doesn’t want to get involved.
