All charges were dropped.
Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard’s fallout has played out on “Real Housewives of Potomac.” On the previous season, the women had tension over Monique’s friendship with Ashley Darby. Plus, Monique didn’t like what Candiace had to say after Ashley opened up about her miscarriage. Having experienced a miscarriage herself, Monique felt as if Candiace crossed the line.
Regardless, they were able to hash things out at the reunion. But Charrisse Jackson-Jordan’s budding friendship with Candiace led to more issues between them. And at the height of their tension, they got into a physical altercation.
Candiace filed charges against Monique and Monique returned the favor. As of now, all charges have been dismissed. And it’s speculated that Ashley writing a character statement about the knife incident from last season is a major reason why Monique won’t be serving any jail time.
Andy Cohen speaks on the future of the cast.
In the meantime, it seems as if some of the cast decided to punish Monique themselves. In fact, Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Wendy Osefo have joined Candiace in refusing to film with Monique. So some viewers are speculating that all the women are using the strategy to push Monique off the show. It’s a strategy that resulted in Phaedra Parks’ dismissal from “Real Housewives of Atlanta” years ago.
Plus, Candiace has been vocal about where she stands. And she said she wouldn’t want to remain on the show if Monique is not terminated.
Interestingly enough, Andy Cohen addressed what season 6 will look like when it comes to the cast. He has no plans of making any changes, regardless of the violent fallout between Monique and Candiace. He appeared on the Everything iconic podcast and said to Danny Pellegrino, “No, I don’t [think the RHOP cast will change]. I think that’s one of the reasons why Potomac is so great.”
