Monique opens up.

Juan and Robyn are hosting a holiday party. Everyone is invited except Monique. Robyn has no idea that Juan is proposing at the party.

Monique sees a therapist. It’s a woman Ashley recommended to Monique. She says her appetite has been off. The legal aspect of the altercation has been stressful to deal with. It’s also been hurtful that the women iced her out of the group. She’s always feeling like she has to prove herself to them, so she’s always in defense mode.

Monique realizes that she may not be over being bullied as a kid. When she was young, she lived in a predominately white area and dealt with racism. Then she moved to an all black area, and the black children didn’t like her either because they said she talked too proper.

So Monique is always defensive.

The therapist recommends she writes a letter to Candiace and tells her how she feels. In a green screen interview, Monique says she’s remorseful for her actions. But she’s not sorry for defending herself when she needed to.

Michael may have tea on Juan.

Ashley and Michael talk about the wig shift party. Michael says that Candiace gets to be a victim for another day after the situation with Karen.

They then discuss the holiday party. Ashley says Juan is proposing to Robyn at the party, Michael says there’s no way this is happening because of something he knows. But he’s not going to share it.

Karen has receipts.

Candiace and her mother Dorothy go get their nails done. She’s been house shopping with Chris. While she’s disappointed with Karen, she’s happy her mother has been there for her amid the drama from the altercation.

As Karen gets ready to go to the Home Shopping Network (HSN) to sell her perfume, she talks to Ray about the drama at the wig shift party. She says she was lied on. And she told Monique to come at 4 pm and Candiace at 6:30 pm. They were never going to be at the venue at the same time. Producers show the text message conversations that confirm this. So she wants people to understand she will continue to support both Candiace and Monique.

Juan has been working on himself.

Robyn and Juan see a therapist. Juan gets upset after Robyn says Juan wasn’t present during both her pregnancies. He says they could have both been better spouses back then.

After these difficult moments and having to raise the kids alone while Juan was busy in the NBA, she decided to file for a divorce.

Juan says he was lonely back then and he didn’t feel Robyn gave him what he needed. So he looked to other women for romance and affection along with s*x.

This makes Robyn break down in tears.

Juan says he is becoming a better man and Robyn says she’s proud of him.

Karen is still on thin ice with Candiace.

While Candiace is en route to the holiday party with Chris, she says she’s still upset with Karen. The original time Karen told her to come to the wig shift party was 5:15 pm or 5:30 pm. So it still seems like she wanted Candiace and Monique there at the same time.

When Gizelle gets to the party with Kal, she tells Ashley that Jamal couldn’t come because he has church the next morning. Both Ashley and Michael think this is BS. And Michael says Jamal needs to at least move back to Maryland if he wants to be serious with Gizelle. Gizelle says he can’t do this because he’s now the pastor at New Birth. But he’s been asking her to move to Atlanta.

Robyn isn’t feeling Karen that much these days.

With Karen possibly not making the party, Robyn tells the others she’s okay if Karen doesn’t come. She doesn’t like that Karen said that Robyn needs to worry about what Juan says when he’s drunk. Robyn says this was just Karen deflecting after Robyn asked if Karen stopped drinking around them because she’s afraid of spilling her own tea while drunk.

After Ashley tells Gizelle that Michael acted like he had tea on Juan, Michael tells both women that Juan told him that it was going to be a normal night. It doesn’t seem like he’s proposing. So Gizelle gets up to ask Juan if he changed his mind.

Michael then tells Ashley that he’s not telling her what he knows about Juan.

Juan proposes.

When Candiace takes the stage to sing the Go-Go Remix of her song the volume is too low at first but it eventually gets turned up so the performance is saved.

Afterward, Juan shocks Robyn and proposes in front of everyone. In a green screen interview, Gizelle asks if Michael was hating because he wants Juan all to himself.

Michael later tells Juan after “all the sh*t that’s happened,” he’s stayed true to Juan the whole time. Juan says he knows this and suggests that take a shot.

Karen is put in the hot seat, again.

When Karen gets there, the ladies once again ask her about Monique. She’s accused of trying to invite Candiace and Monique to her event at the same time. Karen denies this and says the truth will come out. Candiace gets angry and yells at Karen that she saw what happened. And a “b*tch” attacked her because she had “no self-control.”

Michael and Chris clash.

At this point, Michael goes to Chris and tells him he needs to get Candiace because she’s out of control for yelling at Karen.

Chris gets mad and tells Michael to get out of his face. This is followed by Chris pushing Michael.

Michael gets upset and they are restrained by security. With chaos ensuing, Michael threatens to call his lawyer and send Chris to jail.

After Michael tells Ashley that Chris pushed him, she confronts Chris. She says that it’s him who lacks self-control even though Candiace had so much to say about Monique. Candiace gets mad and starts yelling at Ashley and Michael. She also dares Michael to put his hands on her.

Security has Chris and Candiace leave and Karen and Ray come outside not too long after. Karen says it’s a shame that it’s been so much drama lately. She tries to calm Candiace down but Candiace is still upset with her.

Ashley gets upset with Michael.

Michael gets into it with the production crew and this angers Ashley. She tells him he’s embarrassing her. So she storms out of the party and calls him out for his behavior when they get outside.

At the end of season wrap up, Karen says she’s working out things with Ray. Candiace is ready to start trying to have a baby with Chris. Robyn and Juan want to have a destination wedding and build a house. Gizelle says her daughters have now accepted her relationship with Jamal. Wendy is focusing on her political commentary. As for Monique, she says the charges against her were dismissed because raw footage from the altercation showed that it was a “mutually consented fight.” And Candiace asking to be dragged and her complying wasn’t illegal.

As for Candiace, she feels the charges were dismissed because of all the coverage the altercation received in the media. She breaks down in tears and says she feels as if Monique crossed her in the evilest way.

What are your thoughts on the season finale?

  1. Chris had every right to check Micheal!! How dare Michael tell Chris what to do with his wife?? It was randome and out of pocket!

On a different note I find it very strange that Ashley started talking about her own husband on camera with Giselle… …

  2. Candiace went the whole season saying Monique had no right to assault her over words, yet her husband assaulted Michael over his words. The hypocrisy just won’t stop with this cast.

    1. Candiace is the same person who assaulted Ashley with a knife and tried to fight her over words. This is what made the season so annoying for me. Everyone is being a hypocrite. I’d respect it if they just all said they don’t like Monique and they just want her off the show. But stop insulting our intelligence

      1. I agree. They have all been annoying me so much because it’s way too much hypocrisy. Candiace ain’t no saint. She wanted a fight and she’s embarrassed she lost. I also don’t buy that she’s never been in a fight before. Not with that mouth, and not growing up in Atlanta. No ma’am.
