Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels’ feud went too far.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” is in the middle of an explosive season. Since last year, fans of the show have been discussing the altercation that took place between Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels. Prior, both women had agreed to work on their friendship. Things got rocky between them after Monique made up with Ashley Darby. Candiace felt like she had Monique’s back after Ashley accused Monique of having too many drinks before her car crash. So she didn’t like the fact that Monique called her out about her treatment of Ashley in front of the rest of the group.
As for Monique, she felt betrayed by Candiace after Candiace invited Charrisse Jackson Jordan to her anniversary party without giving Monique a heads up.
While both women should have been able to hash things out, they never got around to it. And at the height of the tension, things got violent.

Candiace was devastated. So she decided to press charges against her former friend. However, she didn’t anticipate that Monique would file a countersuit. It also didn’t help Candiace that Ashley agreed to write a character statement to help Monique’s countersuit. As a result, the charges were dismissed. And while Candiace doesn’t think this makes sense and she blames this on the media’s coverage of the altercation, Robyn Dixon seems to think the outcome makes sense.
