Mariah Huq’s departure from “Married to Medicine” was a controversial one.
“Married to Medicine” wrapped up a controversial recent season. Mariah Huq fought back against the drug accusations made by Quad Webb. Previously, while the two women argued, Quad accused Mariah of having a drug problem. And she said this after Mariah said she believed Quad slept with her former brother in law. So Mariah took a series of drug tests to prove her sobriety. And to no surprise, things only got more contentious between her and Quad.
When contracts went out for season 8, Mariah told her social media followers that she didn’t receive a contract.
She would later do an interview and make some serious accusations about the production company for the show, Purveyors of Pop. Mariah alleged that she wasn’t allowed to wear a hijab while filming her green screen interviews. She also claimed that her contract wasn’t honored and she wasn’t permitted to be involved with the spinoff shows. As the creator of “Married to Medicine,” she was hurt. So she decided it would be best to move forward with a lawsuit against Purveyors of Pop.
Dr. Scott Metcalfe is the target of speculation.
In the meantime, Bravo has released a trailer for the upcoming season. And a good bit of the drama surrounds Dr. Contessa Metcalfe and her husband Dr. Scott Metcalfe.
Scott has seemingly been accused of cheating.
