Dr. Heavenly Kimes received backlash for calling Buffie Purselle fat.
When it comes to Buffie Purselle’s time on “Married to Medicine,” it was definitely eventful. She started off in a good place with the entire cast. But that changed after she took issue with Dr. Jackie Walters calling her infertile during a speech for an event. Jackie would later apologize, but Dr. Heavenly Kimes developed her own problems with Buffie after she decided to defend Jackie.
While they argued, Heavenly went on to call Buffie fat.
Some fans of the show called Heavenly out for this on social media. They wanted to remind her that she had also struggled with her weight in the past. So they couldn’t understand why Buffie’s weight would be the thing that Heavenly would come for her about.

Interestingly enough, Buffie returned the jab after the trailer and cast photo for season 8 of “Married to Medicine” began to make rounds on social media.
In a video posted to Instagram, Buffie said, “Never thought these words would come out of my mouth but the dentist shut this photo shoot all the way down, honey! She went from a coke can to a coke bottle. And got that good old Buffie Purselle hair.”
And in the caption, Buffie wrote, “?? ?? #thedentist is coming for y’all necks Glurls!! The glow up is real. #cokeCAN to #cokeBottle. Y’all need to do right by Mariah tho… #realtalk.” She continued, “Ima use they a*s as #clickbait like they did me. Smooches!”
