Kanan meets Symphony.
Kanan is shocked to see Symphony in their house and on Raq’s computer doing coursework. He rudely questions who Symphony is and Raq steps in to tell him he’s out of line. Kanan was supposed to be on the way to school but he’s late. So Raq tells him she’ll take him. Although Symphony tells Raq he understands Kanan’s reaction, she tells him she can raise her own child.
When they get in the car, it’s clear Kanan is upset about D Wiz’s death.
Raq’s connect gives her a warning.
Detective Howard and his partner Burke are being pressured to find out who’s behind D Wiz and Buck Twenty’s deaths. Meanwhile, Raq’s connect Azumadeen heard that their corner boys were ran down by the police earlier that morning. So he’s not giving them any drugs until Raq has a sit-down with him. So Raq does just that and meets Deen at a bingo game. After Deen points out that Unique’s corners haven’t been touched, Raq says it just wasn’t his time yet. But the police were just showing off their power and reminding her of their presence. There’s no real issue. Deen tells her he will supply the drugs but he’ll pull the plug if it happens again.
On her way out from the meeting, Raq tells Deen’s associate that he should do some part-time work for her.
A doctor gives Howard some bad news.
Howard learns that he has leukemia. He’ll need a bone marrow transparent and chemotherapy. Since Howard isn’t on good terms with his immediate family members (cousins) over real estate disagreements, he’s not sure they’ll be okay with agreeing to a transplant.
Marvin goes by to the club to see Toni. He also gifts her with a new dog and she thanks him by “orally pleasuring” him.
While Kanan is at the stash house playing video games with Scrappy, he asks him what he heard about D Wiz. Scrappy says D Wiz was beefing with Buck over a girl and D Wiz killed him. So Buck’s people killed D Wiz. Scrappy asks Kanan what he heard and Kanan says he heard the same thing.
Kanan goes to talk to Davina outside of the stash house. She asks him if he knew D Wiz killed Buck. Kanan says he doesn’t believe what he’s heard and he thinks whoever killed Buck killed the wrong person.
Plans are set.
Raq meets with Deen’s associate. She hands him money in an envelope that will be enough to move him and his wife and side chick down south. All he has to do is give her the details of Unique’s next re-up.
Jukebox meets with her crew to steal some clothes to sell, but they get caught by a security guard. One of the guys bloodies the security guard and Jukebox tells him to stop before running off.
Raq meets with Howard and tells him she has info on Unique’s re-up. While he’s interested, he wonders where things are headed for both of them.
Kanan makes a deal with Marvin.
Lou Lou heads to a studio with Jessica to give Crown Camacho some drugs. His real name is Antoine Washington, but he goes by this other name to make women think he’s Puerto Rican. He runs Bulletproof Records, a Hip Hop label. Jessica tells Crown he should meet her brother Famous because he’s a really good rapper. Crown agrees to this.
Marvin is in Jukebox’s room snooping around and pocketing things. Kanan catches him and asks what he’s up to before Marvin demands he gives back the house key Jukebox gave Kanan. Both agree that Marvin will give Kanan some real work to do in the organization behind Raq’s back and Kanan will persuade Raq to give Marvin more responsibilities including managing more corners.
So Marvin tells Kanan to buy drugs from him wholesale and sell them. Raq can’t know about what they’re doing.
Kanan gets some good advice.
Jukebox stops by Raq’s to drop off the clothes she just stole. They have a bonding moment and smile about their love lives. Raq says they both deserve to smile sometimes.
Jessica tells Lou Lou that what he’s doing with Raq is small-time and he could find major success in the music business because he knows way more than Crown.
Jukebox advises Kanan to sell drugs to white college students and charge double what Marvin told him to. Her plan is a success for Kanan. After getting his first big sale, he buys some groceries for Davina and her little sister after she told him she was selling her dad’s tools to get them some cash. She thanks him and they kiss.
Unique loses big.
Howard and Burke crash Unique’s re-up and arrest some of his crew after getting info from Raq. This leaves Unique’s corners empty the next day as he doesn’t have any drugs to sell. As Lou Lou and Marvin drive by Unique’s territory, he rides past them and the men have an intense staredown.
Raq takes Kanan to D Wiz’s house to comfort his grieving mother. As Kanan’s tears fall, he looks at Raq as if he may have figured out that she is behind his friend’s death.
