Candiace Dillard stands firm with the “your momma” clap back.
Mia Thornton and Candiace Dillard have “Real Housewives of Potomac” fans talking plenty on social media. The recent episode was chaotic. But it only gets worse on the upcoming episode. Candiace didn’t know that Mia’s mother is a recovering drug addict when she said that Mia’s mother is low budget. This was her clap back after Mia called Candiace’s music video low budget.
After Mia tells Candiace about her mother, Candiace says she doesn’t care. Mia then says that she’s still proud of her mother regardless. Candiace breaks down in tears and responds with, “Be proud but you’re not gonna say whatever the f*ck you wanna say to me and I’m not gonna respond!” Mia is genuinely puzzled by how things even got this far with Candiace. “You need therapy.”
Mia walks away.
The other women try to get Candiace to understand she went too far. But Candiace doesn’t agree. “Don’t give me her sob story. She says whatever she wants to say and I’m supposed to say nothing? She needs to go.”
At this point, both Candiace and Mia have tossed and knocked over things in the kitchen. But Candiace is insisting that Mia is kicked out. “She’s breaking things. This is what they do in the strip club. She needs to go.”
Chris Bassett believed Candiace Dillard was being childish.
Askale Davis tries to lighten the mood and jokes that she planned to eat the salad. Candiace has more to say about what just transpired with the lettuce. “Well, she threw it at me. If you have a story about your mother, then be quiet. How do you know I don’t have a story about feeling low budget?”
Karen Huger pulls Mia to the side to try to give her some encouragement. She tells Mia not to let her allow anyone to make her feel bad about herself. And she should be proud of who she is always. Wendy Osefo doesn’t want Mia to be ashamed or leave. “Don’t you leave. Don’t you let anyone take away your truth from you.”
For Mia, she feels like she can handle whatever anyone says about her. But her mom doesn’t deserve to be a target. “Her sobriety is everything to me. I’ll be d*mned if I let a little f*cking chihuahua take that sh*t from her. And if my mom relapses because of that b*tch, she better catch my a*s outside. I tell you that. You don’t talk about anybody’s mom. What the h*ll?”
Chris Bassett takes Candiace outside to calm down but he’s not successful. “She wanted smoke so I invited her into my roof for smoke!” He thinks this is a ridiculous mindset to have. “That’s what f*cking children do!” This causes Candiace to shed tears. But Candiace doesn’t back down. “I’m not going to let anybody say whatever the f*ck they want to say!”
Mia Thornton hopes the drama won’t lead to her mother relapsing.
Askale joins the conversation and explains how she thinks Candiace feels to Mia. She says that she believes Mia really hurt Candiace’s feelings by calling her music video low budget. Mia says that if that’s what hurt Candiace, she should have just said that because Mia has been there herself as a businesswoman. But now she makes $450,000. It’s okay to start from the bottom and do what you need to do to build yourself up.
At this point, Askale gets irritated. “Is the reason why you talk about work and business so much is because there was a time you didn’t have all that?” And Mia sets the record straight. “No. I talk about work and business because I worked my a*s off for it. And I’m proud of it.”
Askale then suggests that they shouldn’t discuss money and business for the rest of the trip. And Mia says that if the low blows about her mother continue, she wants no parts of this trip. Her mother told her that it’s a struggle to stay clean every day. So Candiace’s words could hurt her.
She elaborates in her green screen interview. “I purposely don’t say anything that may upset my mom because I want her to remain sober. And seeing someone call her low budget may cause her to relapse and I won’t stand for it.”
