Wendy Osefo and Mia Thornton question Karen Huger’s motives.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” fans had plenty to say on social media when it was confirmed Karen Huger did not physically attend the reunion. Karen was recently convicted of DUI. Throughout Season 9, Karen said she would be vindicated. Instead, multiple videos of her interacting with officers in a very drunken state have made rounds online.
Although Karen didn’t attend the reunion in person, she did appear by video to discuss the matter. In the reunion trailer, Karen was very emotional. However, fans weren’t privy to what she said and likely won’t be until the episode airs. In the meantime, many have their theories and suspicions concerning Karen’s current legal issue. While some expressed that Karen going to rehab was good, others see it as her trying to avoid jail time. Wendy Osefo and Mia Thronton express this during part one of the reunion.
In the preview, Wendy says, “I do find it interesting that she’s doing it before her sentencing. And I’m wondering if she’s doing it because she feels like she needs help or is she doing it because she feels like it will lighten the blow of the sentence.”
Stacey Rusch interjects, “Let’s give her grace…I’m just happy that she’s in recovery and taking care of herself. Let’s just acknowledge that.”
Wendy responds, “I get that but I feel like sometimes what you’re trying to say is by us questioning her as her friend, you’re trying to lessen what we’re saying. And that’s not fair. This doesn’t have to be cookie-cutter all the time. Part of a friendship is also being honest.”
Stacey still thinks the cast should be supportive.
“We should be supportive and positive.”
Mia then says, “Do I also feel like she’s going to rehab right now because she’s trying to lessen her sentence? Absolutely.”
Gizelle Bryant and Andy Cohen don’t see an issue if that was the case.
Gizelle says, “And anybody would!”
Andy adds, “Right. I was gonna say…”
Oh Wendy and Mia please. None of them really care about Karen’s alcoholism/addiction. And no, they aren’t hoping she really gets help because then they would have nothing to drag her with or talk about. These women are not friends outside of Karen and Gizelle. It doesn’t matter why she went to rehab. And any sane person would do whatever they can to avoid jail time like Gizelle and Andy said. This season was a snooze. I hope the reunion is better.
Those two are stupid to think that Karen is and was not going to everything and anything to avoid jail or limit the time. Wendy has to different life goal every year. MIA has no room to talk about anyone else with the mess she has going on, using her who her son’s father is as a storyline.
Here’s Wendy being two faced again for camera time. She had no storyline all season long but her diehard delusional fans think she ate here. Her ego is huge now. Common sense is you do whatever you can to lighten your sentence. That’s not a gotcha Wendy and Mia.
Wendy using alcoholism/rehab to get back at Karen for telling Stacey she’s self absorbed is…something. Karen needed to go to rehab. Who cares why she went. Wendy is starting to act full of herself. She really thinks she’s the queen bee now.
Yikes. Bravo once again has no idea how to handle serious matters like addiction. I thought they were turning a corner with how they handled Mary’s son but this is bad. Karen may need to leave the show to recover because these women aren’t going to provide an environment an addict needs to get clean.
Wendy the one who’s supposed to be the most educated one on the show is disappoint to hear you say something so sick disgusting about a woman you once call your friend. You are self absorbed its all about you. your to busy will your career as a professor you so call retire from now your doing a talk show. Poor Ed has to raise the kids. I haven’t seen you do any screen time with your daughter like Giselle and Karen do. Show some grace for your friend if the table was turn I’m sure she would have been there for you. And Mia I have no word for a w*****.
I mean I get where Wendy and Mia are coming from because I don’t think they’re wrong. However, addiction is a very sensitive thing. The last thing you want to do is antagonize and keep trying to embarrass and shame an addict. That doesn’t help them. They aren’t Karen’s friends and they’re delusional to think they are.
If I was possibly going to jail he!! yeah I will go to rehab or anything I could to reduce my sentence. Wendy sit down I don’t know what you all see in her that is so great.
