A lot of things happened behind the scenes after Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard’s altercation.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” stars Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels had a lot of people talking after they got into a physical altercation while filming the show. Some people felt like Monique went too far. In fact, some of the other women on the show refused to film with her. And Gizelle Bryant even hired security because she said she no longer felt safe around Monique. Then, of course, others felt like Candiace was far from an innocent victim when it comes to the situation. This is one of the reasons why Ashley Darby said she had to write a character statement for Monique. Not only did she not want Monique to go to jail, but she hadn’t moved on from Candiace throwing a butter knife in her direction during a past argument.
Regardless, Monique’s feet were held to the fire during the reunion. Andy Cohen wasn’t easy on her. And at times, Monique questioned if she was even being treated fairly by those in power. Interestingly enough, some fans of the show called Andy out on social media. They felt he was harsh towards Monique and her husband Chris Samuels.
Well, Candiace had a different perspective. And this all came out in a new book. According to Candiace, she called Andy out about how she felt he handled the altercation. She didn’t think he actually cared about her wellbeing.
