Things remain nasty between Candiace and Mia.
Mia and Candiace continue to argue. And Mia even says that it’s long overdue for Candiace to get her a*s kicked. Candiace then asks Mia if she’s going to be the one to do it. Karen interjects and says that she and Gizelle know how to read each other without it getting too nasty. But Candiace says this isn’t true and the other women have body shamed each other while feuding. So Candiace doesn’t understand why they don’t get as much backlash as she does.
When it comes to throwing lettuce at Mia first, Candiace says she is going to respond when she feels someone is coming for her. And Wendy says that they all cut deep and Candiace just knows how to read people better than most. So Candiace questions if she should stop hurting feelings. Karen tells her it may not matter soon because Candiace could get iced out of the group.
Even though the ladies try to tell Candiace she crosses the line too often, Candiace reminds them of their own controversial moments. This includes Robyn getting in Ashley’s face at the Oz Restaurant.
Mia’s Twitter actions are discussed.
Andy brings up Mia’s own drama on Twitter. She says some of her controversial clap backs were actually written by her former social media manager. But the others aren’t buying this and they believe Mia penned all those messy tweets herself. Askale responds when a viewer accuses her of being classist towards Mia even though she accused Mia of classism on the show. The viewer points to the fact that Askale has shaded Mia for being a former dancer. For Candiace and Askale, it seems like Mia throws her money in everyone’s faces. And she weaponizes her success during arguments.
Gizelle calls out Wendy and appreciates Karen.
Andy brings up Karen and Gizelle’s shaky relationship. Karen is asked about accusing Gizelle of having an STD. She read this on the same blog that put out the cheating rumors about Eddie.
A viewer asks if it’s hypocritical that Gizelle wanted an apology from Karen for hurting her daughters’ feelings at the previous reunion since she’s been talking about the rumors involving Eddie. Gizelle then accuses Wendy of looking at her daughter Grace crazy while they filmed the podcasting event at her house. Wendy doesn’t believe she actually did this, but Grace’s friends said they saw this happen. Producers then flashback to a scene of Wendy looking at Grace. Regardless, Wendy apologizes. And she tells Gizelle to be prepared to apologize when her time comes because she has children as well.
Although they started off the season on awful terms, Andy was happy to see Karen and Gizelle have some fun moments together later on in the season. Gizelle says that it touched her that Karen got up and hugged her daughters even though they weren’t cool. This makes Gizelle emotional and everyone is shocked she’s being open with her feelings. Even though the shade may never end between them, Gizelle and Karen are happy to be in a better place.
Ashley and Candiace’s issues cause some tears.
Candiace’s “wide-bodied” and breastmilk comments towards Ashley are brought up. She doesn’t see what the issue is with what she said. And she says she could have been offended when Ashley said her hair looked dry because Ashley is a light-skinned woman with looser curls. At this point, Ashley gets fed up and demands they talk about colorism right then and there.
Ashley says she is no colorist and every time they argue, Candiace brings up their skin tones. And that doesn’t make sense because Candiace has called her a slave and Michael an overseer.
Candiace breaks down in tears and says that Ashley really hurt her by writing the character statement for Monique. Gizelle says that Ashley and Candiace’s feud is hurting the group. Candiace says that Ashley is a fun girl but it hurts her that Ashley and Karen are still friends with Monique. Ashley says she didn’t even think that Candiace would care if she wrote the statement. Andy hopes the women can eventually move past all of their issues with more time.
Wendy goes off about the rumors.
The group discusses seeing a new side of Wendy. Robyn says her Wendy is “loose” comment was really about feeling like Wendy was way more relaxed personality-wise than her first season on the show.
They also discuss the cheating rumors. Wendy says that the rumor was put out by a blog that isn’t credible. Gizelle bringing it up on a show that millions watch was a very dirty thing to do. She also doesn’t like that Gizelle questioned if the rumor is why Wendy got work done to her body. So she asks Gizelle if she got a tummy tuck to keep Jamal.
What are your thoughts on part two of the reunion?
