The ladies discuss “Drive Back.”

Candiace Dillard is focused on her music career. And she’s been showing fans that it hasn’t been an easy journey on “Real Housewives of Potomac.” In fact, she has clashed with Chris Bassett about how to move forward. She wanted him to be more involved and help her get things done. But Chris has made some wrong turns since he has his own career to tend to as well. Regardless, Candiace has seen some success just one album in. And “Drive Back” is doing very well in streams. However, Nicki Minaj may not have been aware until the reunion.

In a preview, Nicki asks Mia Thornton, “On a scale from 1 to 10, before that video came out, how successful did you think the song was gon be? 10 being the most successful and 1 being fliznop. Mia?” Mia answers, “Negative 2.” Candiace tells Mia she’s speaking from a place of “hateration.” And Mia then says she’s just being honest.

Karen Huger is asked what she believes. “I thought it was a 9.” She adds, “Look Candiace can sing. It’s a 9 for talent…” At this point, Nicki says Karen didn’t answer her question. Robyn Dixon asks what a 10 means. And Nicki says, “10 meaning selling, going platinum. How successful did you think the song was gon be?”

Nicki Minaj has questions about the performance of Candiace Dillard’s single.

And Karen responds with, “I really always thought it would at least be a 5 then in that respect, a 5. Candiace chimes in with the streaming statistic, “The song has over half a million streams.” And Wendy Osefo has her back, “Yeah, she’s on the R&B Billboard.” And Robyn Dixon chimes in too, “Yeah, Anita Baker shouted her out.”

Candiace discusses her Billboard position. “Number 24 on Billboard. On R&B.” Nicki needs clarification, “On R&B, which chart? iTunes or Billboard?” And Candiace clarifies, “Billboard. Number 24 on R&B Billboard. Number 4 on iTunes.”

Well, Nicki has another question. “And how long has it been out?” Candiace confirms her song has been out for 2 months.

And Gizelle Bryant just wants to get to the nitty-gritty. “Is the good in the music world?”
