Candiace Dillard wasn’t able to avoid drama during season 6.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” fans were shocked when they learned Nicki Minaj hosted a segment at the season 6 reunion. After this was revealed, many questioned just who she would put in the hot seat. Some fans guessed that Gizelle Bryant would be asked the tough questions. However, others figured it would be Candiace Dillard. Candiace had yet another controversial season. Her feud with Mia Thronton turned ugly quickly. Mia asked Miss Dorothy if Chris Bassett was being paid to manage Candiace’s career. And Candiace took issue with this. But when she confronted Mia about it, it went left. And Mia called Candiace’s “Drive Back” music video low budget.
In response to the insult, Candiace told Mia her mother is low budget. Mia was offended. During her rookie season, she opened up about her childhood. Her mother is a recovering drug addict. Some of the others on the cast knew this. So they told Candiace to retreat from the clap back. Candiace and Mia would later apologize to each other for their blowup. And Candiace said she wouldn’t have said it if she knew about Mia’s backstory.
After Candiace sticks up for Ashley, she also stands up for her music career when Nicki Minaj has some questions. Luckily, some of the other women have her back.
