Season 9 may include a surge in drama.
“Married to Medicine” suffered some challenges during season 8. To no surprise, the pandemic didn’t make filming easy. However, the season was controversial before it even premiered because of cast changes. Mariah Huq was fired from the show. Her fans were outraged since she is the creator. They created a petition. And Mariah’s supporters urged everyone to boycott Bravo in support of Mariah and NeNe Leakes. Quad Webb was demoted to a friend. However, Dr. Heavenly Kimes said that she was kicked off completely at first. However, Heavenly convinced producers to bring Quad back in. Newbie Anila Sajja was brought in as a main cast member. Plus, Kari Wells and Lisa Nicole Cloud returned.
Interestingly enough, ratings took a hit. Some fans said that Mariah’s absence caused them not to tune in. Others complained that they didn’t see enough of Quad. There were also complaints on social media that the show had lost its spark.
Well, Heavenly has said that season 9 will be one for the books. When it comes to the upcoming season, a lot of twists and turns took place while the cast filmed. She even has fans thinking she may have been involved in some type of altercation, too.
Heavenly had more to say about the upcoming season. She claimed that some feuds occurred that she didn’t see coming.
