On the recent episode of “Power Book II: Ghost,” Tariq is back in the courtroom. He soon discovers that Lauren wore a wire. And their conversation about Jabari’s book was actually recorded. On the audio, Tariq can be heard telling Lauren the book wasn’t about Brayden. And Jabari only writes about black people.
Lauren is told that she must testify. She doesn’t want to betray Tariq. Interestingly enough, Tariq is able to save Lauren. He convinces Milgram to take the stand instead.
When Milgram takes the stand, Maclean exposes her. He tells the jury that she has slept with four people attached to the case, including himself. So her character is questionable. She’s also someone who doesn’t always tell the truth or do the right thing. With this coming out in court, Milgram realizes her career is done.
Ghost has a backup plan for Yasmine that leaves Tariq in disbelief.
Tariq still has to pay Maclean, and Monet and Cane must pay him as well. They all decide to work together. With Effie and Brayden’s help, they set up the GTG to rob Mecca of his drugs and an engagement ring he was planning to give to Monet.
Diana does some digging. She finds out Zeke is actually their brother. Monet had the child with Mecca/Dante. He also was born in 1998, not 2003. So he’s her eldest child, not Cane.
Diana decides to expose Monet at dinner. Zeke learns the truth. It upsets him, so he goes to Milgram’s place for someone to confide in. But he’s shocked when he sees her dead body.
