OG believes she was a victim of colorism.
“Basketball Wives” had another controversial season before its latest hiatus. Former cast member OG accused the others of being colorist towards her. She was accused of being too violent. However, OG never had a physical altercation on the show. Yet, there were times when her costars refused to film with her. And they said that they were concerned about their safety. OG did not feel like any of this was fair. She pointed out that her foe Evelyn Lozada had been in multiple altercations. Yet, they didn’t refuse to film with her. She was also not called violent by Executive Producer Shaunie O’Neal.
After OG accused the other cast members of colorism, they called her out. They denied that their issues with OG had anything to do with her skin tone. Jackie Christie even became so upset by the accusations that she asked OG to leave the girls’ trip early.
Regardless of the pushback she received, OG stood firm and she would not back down from the accusations. Even though her costars denied colorism took place, some fans of the show shared OG’s perspective. So they called out the producers on social media. They also had harsh words for the people OG clashed with.
Amid the controversy, a cast shakeup took place. OG and Evelyn will not be on the upcoming season. However, the decision to bring back multiple people from the “Basketball Wives LA” days has resulted in a lot of gossip and reports. Now it’s being alleged that another altercation took place while the ladies were filming the new season.
