Lemeir tells Ceaser his plan.
After the sit-down goes left between Lemeir and KP, security steps in to restrain both men. Ceaser wasn’t successful at his attempt to be the neutral mediator. The conversation goes nowhere and KP is too heated for the conversation to be productive. At this point, Lemeir is so driven to make moves to help Black tattoo artists that he’s willing to open up his own shop. That way he can do things the way he wants to.
KP later recaps the disastrous sit-down with his father and Tim. He’s washing his hands of Lemeir. KP had work done to his shop so he has to focus on completing another inspection. This is the only way to open in a month.
Is Alana too focused on her relationship?
Alana’s mother is concerned about her latest romance. In her opinion, Alana is more focused on her boyfriend Jerris than her career. She breaks down in tears and says she worries even more so about Alana’s own well-being because Jerris has already cheated on her.
When she’s around the women of the crew, Alana reveals she was pregnant. Losing the baby was really hard for her. She was six months into the pregnancy. Alana still had to give birth even though the baby died. So it’s been a hurtful experience.
Tim apologizes to Ink Drippin.
Ink Drippin and Tim meet up after they clashed at the recent meeting. Tim realizes that he was too harsh on Ink. But he and KP want Ink to work at the shop. Friday is the deadline for all the artists to let KP know if they want to work with him because the shop is preparing to reopen. Since Tim knows that Ink has been dealing with some personal issues, Tim says that if he needs some time off before returning, he and KP can give Ink that off. But he must tell them soon if he still wants to be in KP’s shop.
Barbie spends some time with Alana. They bond over their disappointments with fertility. Alana says when she was about three months pregnant, she found out Jerris cheated on her. So her pregnancy was stressful before she lost the baby. On top of that, Jerris was recently locked up. She hasn’t told her parents yet because they already hate her boyfriend. Barbie can relate to Alana’s situation because she was cheated on while she was pregnant as well.
Lemeir finds the first employee for his tattoo shop.
While KP, Tim, and Star are talking business at the shop, Barbie texts Star saying she’s outside. She wants to talk to KP. However, KP doesn’t want to talk. He told Barbie she was fired. So Star and Tim go outside to tell Barbie where KP stands. She’s done trying to save her friendship with KP. Before leaving, Barbie warns Star not to trust KP because she was in her shoes before. In a green screen interview, Star says she didn’t want to get involved in the situation because she feels it’s wrong to fire the person who helped KP start the shop.
After Barbie calls Lemeir to tell him about KP refusing to come out to speak to her, Lemeir invites her to work at his shop. And Barbie accepts the invitation.
