Tommy brings in JP.
Tommy meets with his new “distros” Moishe and Mrs. Soto. They are impressed by Dahlia. And they agree to pay Tommy $55,000 per “brick” to be in business together.
Walter’s doctor confirms he has stage 1 lung cancer. So he needs to be thinking about which treatment he wants to start.
Tommy tells Liliana he wants to bring in a third person to cook the drug with her and Williams. He’s not sure who it should be yet though. However, he later comes to the conclusion that JP may be the best person for the job.
While Claudia and Tommy are talking, she suggests they also bring in CBI as distros. Tommy likes this idea but he doesn’t want to deal with Jenard while he’s on slippery terms with Diamond. Doing so would only lead to a war in CBI and problems Tommy doesn’t want to deal with. So until Diamond wants to be involved with Dahlia, CBI is off the table.
Jenard tells Diamond he would have CBI selling Dahlia if he was in charge.
Claudia is starting to feel as if Tommy is having too much power over their operation. But he tells her that she shouldn’t mistake power for vision. She needs to make sure her issues with Walter don’t cause her to strain things in her new operation with Tommy.
As Diamond is cutting Jenard’s hair, he asks what he would do differently for CBI if he was still in charge. Jenard answers that he would get the organization to start selling Dahlia. However, Diamond still has concerns. So he’s not trying to change Diamond’s mind. And Jenard tells Diamond that CBI started with Diamond and it will end with him too. He just wants his place in the middle.
Tommy updates Liliana about JP. He tells her he found out they were brothers recently and he wants JP to be the third cook. But only Liliana needs to know they are brothers.
Vic and Jenard make moves.
Bennigan is blackmailed by another officer who knows he is paid under the table by the Flynn family. So in order to keep it quiet, he must give up half of the $100,000 he’s paid. This is a problem since he’s been using the money to pay off his sister’s medical expenses.
Walter tells Claudia he knows she’s up to no good and when he finds out what she’s been doing, he’s going to crush it with his boot. But Claudia stands firm and says she’s ready for a fight.
Vic tells Bennigan that his family needs access to Dahlia. So whoever is behind it needs to be “put away.” Not arrested, but obstacles need to be moved out of the way. Bennigan agrees to this as long as he’s paid $200,000 for his services. Interestingly enough, Jenard is willing to pay anyone $20,000 to find out who’s the source as well.
Walter wants Vic to find out what Claudia has been up to. Vic says he’ll do it but he wants Walter to tell Claudia that he’s sick. Walter refuses and says he’s never going to tell her. And he only told Vic because he’ll take over the family organization after he is dead.
Vic then brings up Gloria, saying Walter needs to accept she will be by his side when that day comes. Walter strongly disagrees.
Claudia has an offer for Diamond.
JP sees his and Tommy’s grandmother in the hospital but she dies in front of him. He tells Tommy to call Kate to update her. But Tommy doesn’t want to.
Walter asks Tommy to join the Flynn organization but Tommy declines. For Tommy, he wanted nothing to do with Walter after he ruined the meeting with CBI. Walter tells Tommy he knows he slept with Gloria. And he wishes this was still the case so Gloria could go away because she’s tearing up his family. Tommy says Gloria and Vic are in love. And Walter is the issue. Not anyone else.
Claudia goes to Diamond’s barbershop proposing that he and CBI hop on her new drug. He suspects she has a partner so he won’t make a deal behind the other person’s back because it will just lead to drama. When Diamond asks if Dahlia is her drug, she leaves without answering.
Tommy tries to warn Vic.
Paulie receives an update from Walter about his health. He also says he doesn’t think Vic is ready to run the organization. Paulie questions why Claudia can’t be in charge. But Walter says this would never be accepted by those in power because she’s a woman. Paulie believes Walter needs to do better by his children and stop mistreating them. They also need to get on the Dahlia train before they get left behind.
But Walter doesn’t want to get involved with a new designer drug.
And Walter seemingly tells Paulie not to follow through with his hit request on Gloria. Paulie says he never had any plans to follow through anyway.
Tommy stops by Vic’s place to warn him about Walter. He suspects Walter is going to have Gloria killed. Since Tommy cares about Gloria, she hands Vic keys to an “untraceable” car so he can get them both out of Chicago before it’s too late. However, Vic seems hesitant to take this advice.
Adrienne comes clean to Diamond.
Diamond confronts Adrienne and tells he knows she’s a reporter. She says that when she met him at the diner, she was really supposed to meet Elijah that day. However, he never showed up. She’s working on a story about the history of gangs in Chicago. But now that she’s gotten to know Diamond, she doesn’t have to write the story. She just wants to keep him in her life.
After Claudia shares her concerns about Walter coming for her, Tommy assures her he has her back. And she deserves her own success.
Vic asks Gloria to leave Chicago with him and start a new life. He sold the land and paid off all her debt. She’s pleasantly surprised by this and says yes.
D-Mac asks Tommy to hire him because he’s not really fooling around with CBI anymore. After he proves to Tommy that he’s a genius with numbers, Tommy says he has a spot for him.
Jenard gets his hands on Dahlia.
JP and Liliana hit it off pretty fast. And it’s clear Liliana has a crush. Tommy is irritated. But he tells JP that being a cook is the safest place for him in their organization because all of the ingredients in Dahlia are legal. And he won’t have to be subjected to any violence.
Jenard learns from Marshall and another CBI member that the Jews are moving Dahlia.
Paulie tells Vic that Walter asked Tommy to join the organization. Vic is thankful for the information. As for Vic, he says he knew he couldn’t trust Tommy.
Jenard approaches a Jewish man who happens to be one of Moishe’s associates. He kills him and takes a pack of Dahlia.
As Vic is preparing to leave Chicago for good, he replays his conversation with Paulie in his mind. And he decides not to use the untraceable car Tammy gave him.
Things end tragically for Gloria and Vic.
Jenard travels to Gary, Indiana to let Cousin Buddy and his crew sample Dahlia. After they get a hit, they are all in. Jenard says he’ll give them the drug to sell if they agree to be ready to come to Chicago and kill anyone who is in the way of CBI selling it. They agree.
Vic and Gloria are finally in his car en route to their new lives when multiple cars pull up and spray them with bullets. Vic survives but Gloria doesn’t.
Tommy is spying on D-Mac. He watches him open up a box and then hide it. After D-Mac leaves, Tommy opens the box. He’s shocked when he sees a photo of D-Mac as a child with JP. He now realizes D-Mac is JP’s long-lost son and his nephew.
At the end of the episode, Tommy ponders calling Kate. But it’s JP who makes the call. She’s speechless after he tells her who he is.
