Kandi and Kenya clash.
The episode begins with the remainder of Sanya’s dinner. As Drew and Sanya begin to argue over their issues, Sanya’s mother Sharon interjects. And she tells Drew to stop talking over Sanya and making faces.
Drew then says that Sanya is chasing clout behind Kenya and Kandi since they are the only two that were invited to the photo shoot for her Mommi Nation blog. Sanya then says that she is a four-time Olympic gold medalist. So she doesn’t need to chase clout.
Seeing that nothing will be resolved between them at the moment, Drew asks Kenya if she told Kandi about her issues with the vibrating panties. Kandi gets offended and says Kenya is prim and proper when she wants to be. And Kenya had no problem starring in “Trois” years ago. In a green screen interview, Kandi says she’s not understanding Kenya’s actions considering her s*xual past has been discussed before on the show. Marlo then accuses Kenya of sleeping around in Hollywood in her green screen interview.
Sanya’s family comes for Drew.
Marlo talks about her foundation for young girls in the foster care system at a women’s expo. It’s a cause she’s really passionate about. After she wraps up, she FaceTimes Drew. And they discuss the drama that recently went down at Sanya’s dinner. Drew really feels like Sanya turned on her for no reason.
As for Sanya, she catches up with Sharon, her father, and her sister. Her sister shades Drew’s acting career. And says she wasn’t even the lead character on “The Game.” Sharon questions what “The Game” is. Sanya laughs.
Sheree sees her life coach to process what happened with Tyrone. He explains to her that Tyrone was most likely just using her. And Sheree knows she should have been wiser. But it’s a lesson learned. She now wants to put her energy into She By Sheree. It’s a dream she’s had for years. And now it’s time to hire a good business manager and move forward.
Kenya is done with Marlo.
Kandi calls Marlo to find out if she can donate hand-me-downs for her foundation for young girls. But Marlo says she only wants new clothes. It made her feel bad when she was only given hand-me-downs while she was in foster care.
In a green screen interview, Marlo says it bothers her that Kandi would even need to ask this because she’d never donated used clothes to Kandi’s charity events.
As for Kandi, she didn’t see the big deal since she often will only wear clothes one time anyway.
Kenya meets with Sheree to discuss her issues with Marlo. She doesn’t like that Marlo tried to accuse her of faking being sick to get out of being at Sheree’s surprise dinner. Kenya says that she was really sick and she’s the one who sent over the eggs Drew used to bake the cupcakes. At this point, it just seems like Marlo is being a double agent. She’ll act like they are friends when around each other but talks behind her back when Kenya isn’t around.
It’s a “toxic cycle” that Kenya doesn’t want to be involved in anymore.
Kenya calls out Marlo.
The ladies get together with the exception of Kandi who is filming a TV show. Marlo arrives and tells them she’s had a bad day. Her sister was arrested for a minor traffic violation. But because the judge noticed she has mental health issues, they want her to agree to Inpatient rehabilitation. Her sister doesn’t want to do this. So she wants to take things to trial and it could result in one year behind bars.
When Kenya arrives, Marlo brings up Kandi wanting to donate hand-me-down clothes to her foundation. She says this bothered her and Kenya says that she wore hand-me-downs when she was growing up. It’s nothing wrong with this. And that’s the issue with Marlo. She talks behind people’s backs and criticizes them when they try to do good things for each other.
Marlo isn’t receptive to this at first and deflects to the wig Kenya is wearing. But she does say she isn’t trying to hurt Kenya. She truly wants her to succeed as a single mother.
Sheree says Kandi should have reached out to her for the Tyrone situation. And she still doesn’t like that Kandi didn’t tell her what Drew said about her assistant.
Sanya and Drew can’t move forward.
Drew and Sanya attempt to discuss their issues, again. However, they don’t get to before another argument ensues. Kenya and the others luckily separate them before things get too heated. And Drew leaves. In a green screen interview, Sanya says that she no longer wants to have a friendship with Drew.
Marlo and her nephews attempt to talk to her sister on the phone. But it doesn’t go well. She becomes angry and Marlo says she threw a chair at a correctional officer. She blames Marlo for being locked up. Marlo breaks down in tears over her sister’s mental health. And she knows for certain that she won’t ever agree to inpatient rehabilitation.
