Chris and Nell enjoy a night out.
The Fletchers are dancing the night away at their favorite club, Reflections. As they take a break from the dance floor, they talk about Martell. Chris lets them know he’s trying to get Martell out of the house he’s selling for his clients. Nell then tells Chris about Martell’s antics from last week’s episode. They both mention how Martell wants them to “pick a side” and how they aren’t going to do it.
Nell lets Chris know of Martell’s tone and language when he came over and how he got loud with her. Chris doesn’t like this and tells Nell he’s going to have a talk with him about it.
They then make light of Martell feeling salty about Melody’s name-change ceremony. Nell mentions the invitation for the event looks like a wedding invite.
Stormi tries to mediate between Keke and Tiffany.
The next day, Stormi and Tiffany hang out shopping. Stormi’s going to keep everything honest with Tiffany about her feelings. But first, they recap what happened at the BBQ where Keke threw the drink at her cousin. Stormi mentions that while Tiffany could be cordial with Keke, Stormi calls her comments about Keke made on Carlos King’s podcast shady. Tiffany’s taken aback by it and dismisses it.
Tiffany brings up how she’s seen Keke in mess and doesn’t associate with anyone that’s involved in that. But Stormi says that Tiffany acts like she’s better than Keke and everyone else is better than Keke, and it is hard to watch. But Tiffany says she just said why everyone else is thinking and there’s nothing wrong with being a little shady.
Next, Stormi has to catch herself when Tiffany asks if she’s stirring the pot when she asks Tiffany if she wants to sit down and talk to Keke. They then talk about comments that Tiffany allegedly made about Canvas Beauty products. Tiffany mentions that she uses the products and she likes them. Stormi wants to mediate and Tiffany’s okay with this.
Melody celebrates changing her last name.
It’s the day of Melody’s name change ceremony. Her driveway and backyard are fully decked out and decorated for the event and her guests. Melody’s draped in all gold and Vanessa is coordinated. They both are happy for this moment as they are sharing this with their family and closest friends.
The event begins with Melody walking out to a sing she’s singing and her guests wipe away tears. Melody then recites vows presented by her pastor. Next, Vanessa gives a speech which leads to Melody wiping away tears.
After the ceremony, Melody greets her guests and thanks them for coming. Of course, Nell pulls Melody aside to get just a wee bit messy. Nell tells her about the comments made to her at her home. Melody really doesn’t care to hear this. However, she listens. When she brings up how he felt about Melody changing her name, Melody says this is exactly why she’s celebrating this moment.
Melody then scoffs at the infidelity claims Martell brought up to Nell and says that she’s only focused on her future, not Martell. During their dinner, Melody asks her friend Dr. Charnita Foster to deliver a speech to her guests.
The speech also makes Melody cry.
Stormi cries tears of joy as she reflects on five years of Canvas Beauty.
The next day, Stormi meets with Kyle, Canvas Beauty’s Chief Marketing Officer/Chief Operations Officer. They’re coming up on Canvas Beauty’s 5-year anniversary and Stormi wants to celebrate. As they reminisce about where they were when he joined, Stormi gets teary-eyed.
Stormi says the business grew too fast and poor business practices, including her signature being forged, almost folded the business. But they stuck it out and recovered quite a bit. But they say they have to make some tough decisions in order to never allow anyone to take advantage of them again.
Nell goes off when she talks to her kids and niece.
Lastly, it’s time for the Fletcher family dinner. They’re greeting their 4 children. Both of them had a child from previous relationships and two children together. All their kids and Nell’s niece show up with their spouses. As they make their plates, Nell talks to her niece about not hearing about her getting fired, yet again. Nell gets ticked off when she’s told they don’t like how she reacts compared to Chris.
This leads to her niece calling Nell dramatic during dinner. Next, they talk to Chris Jr about having to spend thousands of dollars to bail him out and getting big vet bills. As a result, they’re keeping Chris Jr’s dog until he pays them back. This leads to a heated argument.
