‘Basketball Wives’ Recap: The Ladies Experience a Breakthrough with One Another

Evelyn and Vanessa talk about Vanessa’s marriage.

Vanessa, Evelyn, and Jackie catch up. In a green screen interview, Vanessa says she appreciates that Evelyn has been trying to be nicer to her since their heart-to-heart conversation. However, she thinks Evelyn may have gotten the wrong impression about her marriage. Although her husband Isaiah has cheated on her, she still thinks they have been working to move past that.

She confirms that she and Isaiah broke up at one point and she married someone else, even having children with this person.

Brittany tells Evelyn she feels Clayanna was treated unfairly.

Evelyn later meets up with Brittany. Brittany admits she thinks Clayanna is being treated unfairly. She doesn’t think Jennifer should be mouthy if she doesn’t fight. While Evelyn understands this, she reminds Brittany that Clayanna stood over Jennifer with no shoes on. She would have protected anyone in that moment. Brittany is starting to feel like the OGs operate from different rules and she may not belong.

Vanessa talks to her sister about Evelyn. She breaks down in tears as she talks about having a miscarriage after Isaiah’s mistress threatened to expose their affair. While she doesn’t feel it’s a domestic violence situation, her sister does want her to realize it’s a taxing relationship.

Jac’Eil calls her mother to thank her for being there even though she thought she was around enough growing up. She realizes her mother had to work a lot to support her as a single mother. She experiencing the same feeling with her son.

Evelyn and Jennifer go on a double date with their partners.

Jennifer and Evelyn go on a double date with Christian and LaVon. In a green screen interview, Jennifer says she just wants to see Evelyn happy and in the relationship, she is meant to be in. Evelyn likes LaVon. She’s just hesitant about getting married again still. But LaVon has been great. He’s even been helping her put together a marketing plan for her clothing venture.

It’s a big day for Jac’Eil. The owner of the first black owner beauty supply store in LA confirms they will be carrying Jac’Eil’s hair products at their store. It’s the first time Jac’Eil’s products will ever be sold somewhere besides the internet.

The ladies experience a breakthrough.

Evelyn invites the ladies to a sit-down she’s having via her domestic violence charity. She opens up about her past experiences being a victim of domestic violence. Brittany, Jennifer, and Vanessa also share their stories. Vanessa says she was shot at while she was riding in a car.

Jackie says events like this are a reminder of how important it is for women to create safe spaces for each other to share what they are going through. Evelyn is grateful her event turned out to be a success.

  1. I guess Evelyn is looked at as the new bully huh? Clayanna is gone now and no one wants anything to do with her. Wow. The show is still not entertaining.

  2. Evelyn in a domestic abuse group is actually a good for her, but has she thought about the women or people she has abused. She needs a therapist real quick because she’s so delusional and just a Me gets hurt person, not I also hurt people

  3. They want that girl to get divorced. Vanessa better be careful with this women. I hope the show is worth what she is sacrificing
