LHHATL Recap: Mendeecees Clashes with Yandy’s Cousin

Erica Banks warns Karlie Redd about her new boo.

Khaotic and Erica Banks hang out at his place. Their romance has been going well. Erica has been a bit frustrated about her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. She alleges they owe her money. And they weren’t open to paying her until she called them out in a new song. She’s ready to transition into being an independent artist. This is something Khaotic feels he can help her with since he’s been independent.

Yandy visits her cousin Kisha. The family has been busy. They just bought her father his first home. She’s always considered Kisha as a sister and they have been very close throughout their lives. Since Kisha has struggled to conceive for years, Yandy wants to give her one of her eggs. But she will need to make sure Mendeecees is okay with this first. 

Karlie is enjoying the vibe in her second restaurant location when Erica Banks comes through. She introduces Erica to her boo Kai, but they already know each other since Kai is the president of 1501 Certified Entertainment. And since Erica isn’t on the best terms with her label, she’s not comfortable with this. She talks to Karlie alone outside to vent her concerns. And she warns Karlie not to trust Kai so soon into the relationship. 

Mendeecees isn’t feeling Yandy and Kisha’s plan. 

Yandy’s father is enjoying his new house. He breaks down in tears when Yandy confirms there won’t be a mortgage to pay since she and Mendeecees bought it in cash. 

In a green screen interview, Yandy says her dad always supported her and overcame a lot in his life while doing so. This was the least she could do for him. 

While her father is walking around to look at the house, Yandy tells Mendeecees about her plan to help Kisha become a mother. He is weirded out by this because he thinks that means Kisha’s child will be a sibling to their kids. Yandy tries not to let his response upset her because she believes she can educate Mendeecees at a later time. And when she does, he’ll be okay with the plan. 

Renni Rucci attends the celebration of life ceremony Sierra’s family planned for her grandmother. Sadly, she passed away recently. Sierra is struggling, and so is Renni since she is still grieving her mother. Both cry and console each other. 

Mendeecees and Kisha clash. 

Yandy isn’t happy to find out Judy will be staying at the house for a while. They haven’t been able to move on from the drama that occurred over the vow renewal ceremony. Yandy is still upset that Judy said their first wedding was fake. And she never received an apology from Judy. Even now, Judy refuses to apologize. After Yandy leaves for Houston, Mendeecees tells Judy she needs to fix things with Yandy because she’s in the wrong. 

Khaotic and Erica Banks attend the same launch party as Karlie. Erica tells Karlie she no longer wants to release the song they recorded together because Karlie is dating Kai. So a music video isn’t happening.

Judy comes to her grandson’s birthday party and attempts to make peace with Yandy and Mendeecees. After a couple of attempts, Yandy accepts her sort of apology. But things go left when Kisha announces Yandy is going to donate her eggs. Mendeecees says he didn’t agree to this and it’s weird to him. Yandy’s father explains that Kisha will be having the baby and not Yandy. And he won’t be the father. 

Kisha becomes upset. She says she’s been wanting to be a mother for a long time. The lack of support from Mendeecees seems unfair to her.

Mendeecees storms off, feeling like he’s not allowed to have a say. Meanwhile, Kisha breaks down in tears but remains hopeful they will figure it all out as a family.

  1. The ONLY thing that I got emotional about is Yandys dad so touched and appreciative of his family looking out for him which made him extremely happy and proud. Congratulations 🎊 and enjoy your new home Sir

  2. Yandy needs to know her boundaries if your husband is uncomfortable with it then that should be the end of the convo…Nobody feelings trumps your spouse’s feelings

    1. I like Yandy and Mendeecees and I agree with him. It could become an issue to the child later on and there is truth to the relationship between the children. It’s not a simple as it seems.

  3. I wish Yandy would stop it with these fake a-s storylines. If her real life is uninteresting, it’s time to leave the show. 🙄

    1. I disagree and like Yandy and her family’s participation. Yandy has been there since the beginning and should have been an executive producer.

  4. Mendeecees isn’t no punk! And, he’s fine as h__l.

    Yandy better stop challenging her man. Find another donor! This doesn’t make sense. Yandy and your cousin are nuts and trying to have a story line like someone said. Pick another story.

    That’s dysfunctional to the highest level. Stop it! Respect your husband’s decision. That’s it and that’s all. Who do you think you are? Stop it, Yandy! Stop it! Focus on your family, that beautiful home that your husband and you brought your father and hopefully, Mendeecees mother has one too.

    I like your family and you. Keep it classy!
