Mia and Gordon open up in therapy.

Nneka and her husband Ike are preparing to start their IUI process. They have to collect from Ike first, and that is an awkward moment for the couple in the restroom. The doctors later inseminate Nneka with Ike’s sperm. Now, they have to hope for the best.

Mia and Gordon attend a couples therapy session. When Mia is asked if she is still considering a divorce, she says it was about weighing her options back then because Gordon was hard to live with.

In a green-screen interview, Mia says Gordon drained her bank account to empty when he thought she was leaving him and told her that she couldn’t leave him.

Gordon wants more of Mia’s time and attention. She’s on social media too much and isn’t affectionate anymore. Mia thinks this is something they can work through.

Motherhood is on Candiace’s mind.

Candiace also has a transparent moment with her therapist. She explains she wants to become a mother, but she’s worried that focusing on her career may have made it too late for that to happen. This is something Candiace thinks about all the time.

Her therapist, Dr. Ken, tells her that Candiace’s time for motherhood is coming soon. And she’s excited to hear his positivity.

Mia collaborates with a local magazine to have an icon spread done with the cast. However, the person says they don’t want Nneka included because she’s new and hasn’t left her mark on the show yet. In a green screen interview, Nneka says the lack of an invitation didn’t offend her, and she understood.

Gizelle is Beyonce, Candiace is Diana Ross, Wendy is Sheryl Lee Ralph, Robyn is Mariah Carey, Ashley is Dorothy Dandridge, Karen is Lena Horne and Mia is Pam Grier.

Ashley’s friend Deborah is back.

While Robyn and Juan check out the new location for their facial studio, Robyn takes some time to check on Gizelle. Gizelle’s father is in the hospital, so she’s there to discover what’s happening. Producers ask Gizelle to break down what happened to her father, but Gizelle cannot speak. In Robyn’s green screen interview, she says Gizelle’s father had brain cancer.

Wendy shoots the pilot for her new talk show, and it’s a major success, as she called in major cohosts. The show’s future is looking bright.

Gizelle and Ashley moved to have their fashion show. It’s a stressful time for Gizelle. She has been flying back and forth between Atlanta and DC because her father is so sick. But she’s been able to lean on Ashley, and she loves her for that.

The guests come in, and Wendy notices Deborah is in the building. In a green screen interview, she says it’s not a surprise Ashley invited Deborah because she’s very messy.

An altercation takes place.

Wendy and Deborah hug despite past tension. During a green screen interview, Wendy tells producers they still don’t like each other. They were just being fake.

Mia tells the ladies Gizelle is going through a lot due to her father’s declining health. Candiace says she wishes Gizelle and her father the best, but she will do so from a distance. Wendy agrees. When Mia questions why they feel this way, Wendy says Gizelle wasn’t compassionate when her mother was in the hospital, and she gossiped about it instead.

Ashley and Gizelle do a speech to thank everyone for coming out to their fashion show. Gizelle heads out to get back to her father. The night starts with the women dancing and having a good time. However, things go left after the camera crew leaves. The cast is still mic’d up. So, the audio can be heard of Deborah confronting Candiace for calling her Sesame Street. Keiarna tells Deborah to stop. They end up in a physical altercation, and the episode ends on a cliffhanger.

  1. Mia doesn’t understand wishing someone good health even if you didn’t care for them? She was waiting for some shady comments. She doesn’t understand showing maturity? Mia is showing, that without the money, she is just not that into Gordon.
GnA had no workout clothes, only leisure wear.
Deborah may have picked the wrong one.

    1. Absolutely agree! I hope Ashley and her non-divorce storyline disappears next season. This seems like only way we can be rid of Sesame Street Deborah for good.
