SHMV has been put on pause by Bravo.

The latest season of “Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard” had some controversial moments. Amir Lancaster’s girlfriend caused drama when she visited the house. She decided Nick’s girlfriend needed to know a few of the ladies felt he could be “ handsy” while drinking. Bria Fleming said she suspected Nick would be willing to sleep with anyone in his drunken state. Shanice Henderson accused Nick of having “wandering eyes” while she would be topless around her housemates. When all of this got back to Nick, he was furious. At the reunion, Nick said Amir’s girlfriend overstepped boundaries as a guest.

Before the reunion aired, Amir had become a hot topic on social media. During an interview, he said he wasn’t sure he would return next season if his girlfriend wasn’t a full-time cast member. This didn’t sit well with a lot of fans. They said they were okay with Amir possibly walking away.

Viewers also had a lot of questions about some in the group distancing themselves from Jasmine Ellis Cooper.

Interestingly enough, fans won’t get an answer anytime soon because “Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard” was put on pause. Deadline recently reported that SHMV has not been cancelled but it was not renewed for a third season.

The cast thanked fans for their support.

A few cast members addressed being put on pause via their social media accounts.

Bria tweeted, “Hello everyone, Yes, the rumors are true. Our show, Summer House Martha’s Vineyard, has been put on pause. While it is disappointing to see this happen, we believe it will inspire us to explore new directions in our careers, personal lives, and businesses. #SummerhouseMV”

Preston Mitchum wrote, “#SummerHouseMV has been put on pause. I have many feelings. I deeply believe in the investment of Black people and our content – especially of Black millennials. We don’t have enough. In the meantime, please know that we appreciate you ALL – your support, tweets, engagement. 💕🫶🏾”

And Amir said he is grateful for everything, including the harsh comments.

“2 amazing seasons of growth, laughter, love, betrayal, and bonding. While @bravotv has simply said it’s not goodbye, it’s simply see you later I can’t help but feel like this is a breakup where the other person looks at you and says “It’s me, not you.. I need to do some soul searching on my own 🥴”.. All jokes aside I had a ton of fun with this crew and can’t wait to see what’s in store for everyone! Thank you for your love and hate comments because regardless you made us trend. 😎✌🏾”
