On the latest episode of “Basketball Wives,” Brandi continues to clash with Brooke and Evelyn. And Jackie returns to the group. Here are the highlights of, “Getting Messy in Mexico.”
Brandi doesn’t think Brooke is being fair.
Jac’Eil invites Brandi to support her while she takes her first swimming class. She was always afraid of swimming but the upcoming trip to Mexico was the final push Jac’Eil needed to face her fears.
After Jac’Eil wraps up, she talks to Brandi about the ongoing tension with Brooke. Brandi doesn’t understand why Brooke took issue with her saying she was moving too fast with her now ex-boyfriend. Jac’Eil feels Brandi has to learn how to let her friends find their way. But Brandi points out that Brooke didn’t mind giving her opinions about Brandi’s marriage. And she’s not cutting Brooke off for being critical. In her opinion, friends should be able to be real with each other.

Evelyn and Jackie make peace.
Shaunie talked Evelyn into meeting up with Jackie to discuss the drama. Jackie starts the conversation with an apology to Evelyn. She admits she dragged Evelyn during a past phone call with Sundy. But she was angry at the time because it felt like she was being disrespected behind the scenes. Sundy was a friend she thought she could vent to. However, Sundy went back and reported what was said to the others.
Evelyn accepts Jackie’s apology and apologizes for her comments. She admits she doesn’t want to be in a bad space with Jackie anyway. While Evelyn does not buy Jackie’s denial of getting locked up for prostitution, she believes they can mend the group back together somehow. So Evelyn invites Jackie to be her plus-one on the trip to Mexico. Cheyenne is invited, too.

Brandi and Brooke butt heads at Evelyn’s event.
The ladies attend Evelyn’s event in honor of her new clothing line. The tension between Brooke and Brandi is hard to ignore. So Jennifer asks both women if they can hash things out. Brooke says Brandi crossed the line by telling her business. She wanted to be the one to tell Jennifer and the others about her breakup. So she’s questioning if Brandi is a real friend.
Brandi thinks Brooke is overreacting because Evelyn put a battery in her back. However, Brooke doesn’t like that Brandi said the fairy tale had ended. That was a dig.
Brooke says her breakup is just more of a break. Brandi should understand since she had breaks in her marriage. When Brandi takes this as a dig, Jennifer and Jac’Eil are able to get them to drop it before they ruin Evelyn’s event.

Evelyn’s desire to bring Jackie back to the group annoys the others.
After Brooke and Brandi move on, Jennifer is asked about Christian. She says it feels like restitution payments are always being made. And since Christian was found guilty of false imprisonment, he would have been better off letting his ex get in a car crash or whatever else. Brandi is taken aback by Jennifer’s comments. In a green screen interview, she says it was insensitive for Jennifer to say this.
Evelyn tells the group she made up with Jackie. She is immediately called out. Jac’Eil recalls Evelyn shut her down when she tried to move forward with Jackie. Brooke thinks it’s ridiculous that Evelyn would do this when she knows how she feels about Jackie. Jennifer is frustrated. Regardless, Evelyn says Jackie is going to Mexico with the group. And Cheyenne was invited, too. So they have to get over it.

Laura Govan returns.
Jennifer meets with Laura. Laura says she hasn’t been on the show in ten years. One thing she wishes she could undo was meeting with Jackie’s daughter to get tea on her. She realizes now that was a dirty move.
When Jennifer brings up the prostitution allegations, Laura says she’s heard the rumors before. She accepts Jennifer’s invitation to Mexico.

Evelyn and Brandi clash, again.
After the ladies make it to Mexico, they settle at their resort. Evelyn is called out again for inviting Jackie and Cheyenne considering the history with Brooke. Evelyn doesn’t regret her actions since Jackie apologized to her. Brandi says Evelyn is deflecting like Jackie. Evelyn tells Brandi she should be able to forgive Jackie if she forgave her husband for cheating with 300 people. Brandi tells Evelyn she needs to find a husband before walking off to call Jason.
Jac’Eil says Evelyn was wrong to bring up Jason. Brooke thinks Evelyn was selfish to not consider anyone else’s feelings about Jackie. Regardless, Evelyn says they all need to be willing to move on because Jackie and Cheyenne are there.
Later that evening the ladies come together for dinner. They are all surprised when Jennifer walks in with Laura. In a green screen interview, Jackie says they have unfinished business.

They jumped right on Brandi next like we said they would do.
It was so nauseating to see Jackie sit across from Evelyn and saying how much Evelyn meant to her. Jackie, this the same lady that looked into your past and labeled you a prostitute. I don’t understand your logic here Jackie. All I heard was you apologizing over and over to Evelyn. But did she ever apologize for putting your supposed past on blast?
Now ain’t THAT the truth! This show won’t last. As a matter of fact I am a STRAIGHT woman. Why would I want to see 👀 women kiss? Production you can’t do anything better than THAT!
