Dr. Jackie Walters gets on Phaedra Parks’ bad side.
Phaedra Parks moved on from “Married to Medicine” before filming for the current season even wrapped. “Real Housewives of Atlanta” fans were fine with this since she is officially returning to the show with Porsha Williams. Frick and Frack are back. Interestingly enough, some of the “Married to Medicine” cast members aren’t here for how Phaedra departed the show. Quad Webb and Dr. Heavenly Kimes said Phaedra should have paid them homage for “reviving” her career. Phaedra hasn’t acknowledged either in her interviews. Meanwhile, Heavenly and Quad have called out Phaedra in their latest interviews. So it’s safe to say Phaedra has also mentally moved on from “Married to Medicine” as well.
The upcoming episode will show the beginning of Phaedra’s tension with the group. In the first several minutes of the episode, Dr. Jackie Walters tells Dr. Simone Whitmore that she is worried Phaedra won’t do enough to help her plan the Med Gala.
Quad later tells Phaedra about Jackie’s concerns after Phaedra expresses excitement about the event shaping up to be a success.
“Well, girl make sure you run the minutes on what you’ve done because apparently Jackie was saying that she was very nervous about your participation,” says Quad.
Phaedra goes in on Jackie during her green screen interview. She suspects Jackie is using this event as damage control for those controversial comments made on Heavenly’s YouTube channel. In the said video, Jackie discussed the Black maternal mortality rate. She said the issue was “Sometimes as African American women, we’re a bit more dramatic.”
Many Black women were offended by Jackie’s comments. They expressed that this outlook on the problem is anti-black and feeds into the narrative that doctors shouldn’t believe black patients.
On Jackie possibly doing damage control, Phaedra says,
“Oh, ‘she’s so nervous.’ I couldn’t care less because, at the end of the day, she’s obviously wanting to do this event to clean up what happened last year. The beating that she took.”
Phaedra continued, “I’ll help you clean it up but don’t try to throw me under the bus while I’m sweeping.”
Quad and Heavenly have a way to trying cover for Jackie. Jackie is the hand that rules Heavenly and Quad. Why did Jackie want so long to add Phadrea as a co-chair? Is it possible she knew she was falling short again on her fund raising? Phadrea has been working since Atlanta, but Quad didn’t when she wasn’t on MTM. Heavenly is going to do everything for stay on the show.
I’m with you when you’re right. Phaedra is correct. Dr. Jackie gets promoted left and right but what she said was disgusting and dangerous. Then they tried to act like the fans overreacted and Jackie was the victim. I’ll never look at any of them the same.
I’m all for people finally seeing who Jackie really is!
