Drama continues in the next season of BBWLA.
“Basketball Wives” returns in May, and VH1 has released the first look at the new season. There were changes made to the cast. Brooke Bailey and Jac’Eil Duckworth did not return. Former WNBA player Ty Young and her girlfriend Ming Lee join the cast. Brittany Renner returned, and Jackie Christie‘s daughter Chantel Christie signed on as well. Of course, OGs Jennifer Williams, Evelyn Lozada, and Jackie round out the group. And judging by the trailer, fans need to prepare for a very messy season ahead. To no surprise, Jennifer’s hubby, Christian Gold, is a hot topic amid his ongoing legal issues and accusations.
Jennifer and Evelyn’s friendship appears to be no more. In the video, Evelyn tells producers that Jennifer was a fool to marry Christian.
“There were stories coming out about Christian being a scammer. But she got married to this fool. She’s dumb as ****.”
When the group comes together, Jackie suggests they address “the elephants in the room.” Jennifer says, “We’re not gonna make this about Christian.”
Evelyn proceeds to talk about Christian: “I get it. That’s your man or whatever. But sometimes a ************ will bring you down!”
Jennifer gets up to leave.
Evelyn continues, “Tell your man to stop stealing money! Stop being a ******* thief!”
Jennifer quips, “Find a storyline!”
Jackie also has a very controversial moment with Chantel. They argue during a scene. When Jackie walks away, Chantel ends up pushing her. Seconds later, Jackie can be seen responding with her fist.

Why would Jackie be fighting with her own daughter? It’s a LOT of scamming going on if you are not careful. At the end of the day it’s Jennifer decision on how she wants to proceed with Christian. I understand Evelyn looking out for Jen but she didn’t marry Christian Jen did. Why is Ty Young on this show? Yes she played basketball 🏀 but she’s not a real focal point of being on this TV show
