Marlo Hampton talked about running away from home on TV One’s “Uncensored.”

Former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Marlo Hampton has opened up about her life on the show, but she shared more about her life when she appeared on TV One’s “Uncensored.” In one clip, Marlo talked about running away. She said her mother was abusive. But what devastated her more was that she left her little brother behind.

Marlo said, “So this day, she had cooked some collard greens and then left and went somewhere. It was just like, ‘Do not go in my **** pot and I’ll be back in a few.’ So of course, I’m smelling those greens and pigtails or whatever cooking. I’m going in that pot. So I went over there into the pot, and when I went into the pot, I must have spilled some of the potlicker on the floor. And my mom is like OCD, notices everything.”

She continued, “So when she came home, this lady took me, laid me out on the ground. Put her foot on my neck and beat me so bad with an extension cord. And now she’s like, ‘Get your *** in there and bathe your brother.”

Marlo was just ten when she ran away.

“I went in there to bathe my brother, Curtis, and I was just tired. At 10, I knew I gotta go. She’s going to ******* kill me if I don’t go. So I’m bathing my brother, and I’m literally telling him, I’m like Curtis, I’m going to come back for you. And I just remember leaving. I just took off, and I ran, and I knew I was never coming back again. I was just like, I couldn’t do it anymore. And the reason why it hurts so bad is not even that she used to beat me so bad. I think I got immune to it, but I knew I didn’t deserve it. But what hurts so bad is I left my little brother.”
