Kandi Burruss was asked about K. Michelle’s “mean girls” comment.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” newbie K. Michelle is having an eventful first season on the show. She clashed with Drew Sidora and Porsha Williams. Now she isn’t in the best space with Shamea Morton. They argued about the root of their friendship breakdown during the Season 17 reunion. K. Michelle said that she took issue with comments that Shamea made about her Atlanta friends who aren’t on the show. K. Michelle said that Shamea asked her to be loyal because her Atlanta friends didn’t want her to befriend her.
“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” fans know that K. Michelle has a contentious history with Rasheeda, Toya Johnson, and Tamar Braxton. Interestingly, in one scene from RHOA, K. Michelle said she didn’t care what the “Kandi Koated Clique” thought about her. Kandi Burruss is also good friends with Rasheeda and Toya.
When this was addressed at the reunion, K. Michelle called Shamea’s friends the mean girls of Atlanta.
Kandi Burruss was asked about this during a recent interview with “The Big Tigger Morning Show.”
Francesca Amiker asked Kandi, “Did you see the clip where K. Michelle…she mentioned that you were a mean girl in Atlanta?”
Kandi said, “I personally feel that mean girls can’t call other girls mean girls. It doesn’t work like that. We’ve seen her like literally go in on people multiple times, on camera, on television. Calling people out their names, doing all the things.”
She added, “And with that I have to say, if I’m a mean girl, she was a mean girl too.”
Kandi said she returns energy.
“If you are not nice to me, I am not nice to you. Most Tauruses that you know, we are very straight forward. We don’t beat around the bush. Whatever I’m thinking, I say it. It is what it is and I don’t really care.”
K. Michelle responded in an Instagram comment in response to YouTuber Kempire saying that K. Michelle was not referring to Kandi.
She said, “Not your mean self being fair 😩😂. You are absolutely right. I’ve been calling the same two girls mean girls for two years.”
