Learn how to fabulously rock the Red Lip.

One of the hottest beauty trends of the moment is the infamous red lip. This is a very bold look and it requires much effort to pull this look off without looking too much like a clown. It is a known fact that everyone cannot pull off the red lip, but there are some ways that you can get the best out of the beauty trend. One of the most important things you have to remember is how important it is to work with your skin tone. When it comes to the red lip, you have to use your complexion to your absolute advantage.
When selecting the right red lipstick, you have to stay true to your shade. Lighter complexion ladies will be able to go a tad bit lighter with their choice of red lipstick, those with darker tones will be able to pull off darker shades better than women of lighter complexions.
When it comes to the remainder of your face, the best thing you can do is to keep it soft and simple. As far as your eyelids are concerned, lighter is definitely better. If you choose a eye shadow that is a tad bit too dark, you will absolutely step into circus clown territory.
Also be sure to keep your cheeks soft, flirty, and feminine. Bold blush does not work well while wearing the red lip.
A great lip liner will be one of your most important assets while wearing this look. Since it is no secret that red lipstick tends to bleed, be sure to fill in your lips before applying red lipstick.
And if you find difficulty in finding the perfect red lipstick, don’t be afraid to mix different shades of red. By mixing, you may discover the perfect red lip.
I have been having the hardest time finding the right shade of red lipstick. Great tips.
I have to admit, I don't know much about make-up. So I decided I would be "bold" one day and wear red lipstick. The only problem is I wore it w/o applying any lip liner like you suggested. And I looked like Bozo the Clown…lol. I swore I'd never wear it again, but after reading this, I think I'll give it another try.
It's hard to wear red lipstick. But I will say lip liner makes a HUGE difference! Love the site ladies!
