Despite recent speculation that Michael Vick would be joining the St. Louis Rams or the Carolina Panthers, Vick will remain with the Philadelphia Eagles according to team sources.
Vick’s salary for the upcoming football season is expected to be around $5.25 million.
Coach Andy Reid referring to Vick’s wildcat role:
“As a coaching staff, we all have confidence that he’ll get in there and do
that. He can run the offense, too. That part of his game. That’s a neat thing.”
While earlier reports stated that the Eagles may trade Vick before the start of the season, team insiders suggest that they have no plans of letting the 29 year old quarterback go.
Starting quarterback Donovan McNabb’s future is still unclear, although earlier reports state that he might be joining the Oakland Raiders.
