Atlanta-based rap group Travis Porter says they can’t work with Beyoncé because she’s just too old.

Beyoncé may be the baddest chick in the game and wearing husband Jay-Z’s chain, but Travis Porter has no desire to collaborate with the singer and new mother anytime in the foreseeable future. And when it comes to which potential artists they would like to hit the studio with, Beyoncé’s name just didn’t make the cut. It’s not because she isn’t talented or respected for her body of work in her decade spent in music. Despite her huge success, longevity, and a plethora of accolades, the Atlanta-based rap group doesn’t want any studio time with the superstar. And it’s not because there’s beef, but they simple think the singer is too old to make music with; even though Beyonce is only 30 years old.
During a recent interview with Rap Up, the rap trio remarked on which artists they are itching to collaborate with in the studio. Needless to say, King Bey wasn’t on the list:
“I would like to work with Rihanna. She fits our persona. We can’t do a song with Beyoncé,” said Quez.
“That’s way off. People would be like what? She’s like almost 30.”
Fresh into their early 20s, the trio is currently promoting their latest album, From Day 1, and hoping they can continue the previous success they have had in the music industry. During the interview, they described the album as “party, crazy, and thrilling.” Perhaps they can’t see a 30 old being bout that life.
It’s amazing how these young artists view 30 as archaic. Either way, I’m pretty sure Beyoncé isn’t hurting that these youngin’s aren’t checking for her. Even if you are a stan, you have to find it humorous how young people see anything past the age of 29 as elderly.

This made me laugh out loud, I couldn’t even help myself. This is why they say a female artist is done when she gets in her 30s. Beyonce is very talented but I wonder if she can overcome the stigma that comes with her age and motherhood. It gets harder for her from here.
