Nicki Minaj Tweets Disgust With Health Care System to President Obama

Nicki Minaj taps into her political side and tweets President Barack Obama her dislike of the current health care system.

We all know Nicki Minaj will speak her mind whenever she sees fit. Whether it be addressing the haters for talking slick about her or weighing in on a new artist in the industry, Nicki will make her voice heard, like it or not. And the recent passing of TV sitcom actress Yvette Wilson was a situation that she most definitely couldn’t keep quiet about.

Using Twitter as her venting source, she went all political on us, showing her dislike for how the government did Wilson:

“What’s sad is that when Yvette was bringing home the bacon, the gov’t was probably taking millions,” “On her deathbed though, #Nowheretobefound.”

Minaj continued to express her feelings for the current health care system through a series of tweets, some of which were directed straight to President Obama himself:

“That should be a God given right! Even with Obama Care, too much involved,” Minaj tweeted. “Just give FREE health care to all. @barackobama What can we do?”

She goes on to say that poor people shouldn’t have the headache of worrying about medical bills:

“@BarackObama I wouldn’t mind the millions they took if it was going to healthcare,” “Why should a poor person struggle to pay for MEDS sir?”

This same song has been sung for years now about how screwed up the health care system is. And still it has its major flaws within it. Some people are looking for President Obama to break out his magic wand and make everything better instantly, but it just doesn’t work that way.

Minaj’s views mirror those of many other celebrities, blue-collar workers and Average Joes out here, especially those who keep their heads buried deep in political issues.

The fact of the matter is though, when you make millions, you are bound to lose a nice chunk of change to the system…simple politics there.

But what happens when celebrities stop, as Nicki Minaj put it, “bringing home the bacon” and can’t afford to pay their bills anymore?

  1. Oh please. Nicki probably couldn’t even name 5 policies from Obama’s first term that went into effect. And I know for sure she can’t even tell me 3 things Romney purposes to do if he’s elected. I can’t stand when celebs tweet basic sh-t about politics and people praise them for the basic-ness. And the dumbest thing of all, she’s tweeting him like she has no clue that he’s already purposed the SAME idea she’s “suggesting,” and at this moment, it’s being rejected and challenged by the republicans. Stick to your cartoon rapping, Barbie.

  2. I am glad she spoke up about this. Healthcare is a serious issue and we need to take better care of the poor in the U.S.

    1. There’s no need to be a hater. I mean every single one of Nicki’s alternate personalities make more money than you and I. Why be negative when you can do something with your life too?

  3. “But what happens when celebrities stop, as Nicki Minaj put it, “bringing home the bacon” and can’t afford to pay their bills anymore?” | That shouldn’t even happen. If you accumulate $45 million plus in your career, you should not go broke once you become irrelevant. If someone blows through that kind of money, they are stupid and deserve to be broke. I don’t have any compassion for broke celebs that spend amounts of money most people could live off for a lifetime.

  4. Sigh…Nicki please just stop. I dig you as a rapper/singer/tacky dresser, so you don’t have to pretend to care about politics and money issues you probably will never have. The way these singer/rappers make millions and contribute nothing to society makes me question why I even got a college degree sometimes. I could have just rapped or “sang” like Rihanna (lol) and been filthy rich. Decisions, decisions.

  5. IKR! Man, every time I pay my student loans, I just want to hop on somebody’s mixtape and launch this little rap career. One tour and all my loans would be paid for. SMH
