Chad and Evelyn’s marriage might be over after Chad was arrested for head butting his new wife during an argument over a box of condoms, but the mud slinging and rumors are just getting started. Although Chad Johnson has already expressed his disappointment in himself and made apologies to the public, it seems as if people that claim to be close to the situation are not only talking, but they are spilling all the tea on what allegedly took place throughout the entire relationship. Although it looked as if Evelyn was filing for divorce extremely quick, her statement that claimed Chad “has issues” made some wonder if this was not the first time Chad has physically assaulted Evelyn. And some even suggested that it could be the continued abuse that made Evelyn file for divorce just 30 days into the marriage, with the head butting incident being the last straw for her.
A new report claims that Chad has been abusive to Evelyn since the beginning of the relationship. Here’s the claims:
“Chad has been abusive towards Evelyn basically from the beginning of their relationship,” a source close to the couple said.
“Chad doesn’t like Evelyn’s party lifestyle and it made his anger worsen. He hated the way she acted on TV and would often lash out at her for any little thing.”
According to the insider, Chad and Evelyn’s marriage — which rivaled in it’s short length Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ 72-day marriage — came to a screeching halt on Tuesday when Evelyn filed for divorce after only 41 days of not so wedded bliss, and it was no surprise to close friends.
“Chad and Evelyn’s marriage was volatile in nature and a mistake from the start,” the pal said.
“He [Chad] went off the scale at her once because he was tired of having Evelyn’s friends, like her assistant and stuff, living in his house.”
Things got so bad between Chad and the Basketball Wives star that the insider said friends were genuinely concerned for her safety.
“She told me that Chad threatened to kill her one time and that was really a red flag,” the source said.
“But only a small circle of her friends knew what was going on and it was hard to convince her to get out of the situation.”
