Is Nene Leakes leaving RHOA? Although Nene is pretty much the break out star of the series and even claims that the show was built around her storyline, the head housewife has had a lot of success outside of reality television. Nene’s guest star role on Glee turned into a reoccurring one, and she also stars on the upcoming sitcom, The New Normal. While most are impressed that Nene has managed to turn her stardom on reality television into a real acting career, many know that it’s only a matter of time before Nene Leakes is leaving RHOA . In Hollywood, it’s inevitable to upgrade your career whenever you can, and reality television isn’t where Nene Leakes wants to stay when she could become a legitimate actress. And with her acting career taking off, it seems like everyone is already starting to wonder is Nene Leakes leaving RHOA.
So as always, there have been whispers that the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Atlanta could very well be her last. In a recent interview, Nene Leakes talks about leaving RHOA.
When asked about her future on the reality show, Nene tells E Online:
“I don’t know how much longer I’m going to do Housewives.”
Nene says she had a recent conversation with Ryan Seacrest that made her put her future on RHOA into perspective:
“He said, ‘I think you should do it as long as you possibly can. He said, ‘You should do it till you can’t do it anymore.’ I thought that was great advice from someone who has a lot of money.”
Nene also jokes that despite her acting career taking off, she doesn’t want to work too much and not have enough time for a sex life:
“I don’t want to just be working. I want to get laid every now and then—just kidding.”
She won’t stay much longer on RHOA. And why should she? She’s doing bigger things and making bigger money. #TeamNene
Nene sure does have the big head for someone who really has no kind of talent. She should be happy she even got to where she is now.
I love Nene! If she leaves RHOA, I think I’ll be done watching the show. I’m not really a fan of any of the others. But I’m glad she went after an acting career instead of settling for just those reality tv checks. The only people making real money from reality tv are the Kardashians.
I would hate for Nene to leave RHOA and the show she’s on gets cancelled. She needs to stay humble and not forget where she came from. RHOA has a steady fan base and it’s got a higher percentage of staying on TV than a new scripted show. She shouldn’t leave until all her ducks are in a row.
Nene really is feeling herself. I agree with the others who said reality tv is more steady than scripted tv at this point. She needs to slow down. Do both and make that money.
I won’t miss her if she goes. In fact, get rid of the whole show. It hasn’t been my cup of tea since the first season, when they at least pretended to have some class.
