Nicki Minaj may not be having the best of luck getting along with her fellow American Idol judge Mariah Carey or even be having the best week for record sales with her current album The Re-Up, but that doesn’t mean the female rapper isn’t still making moves in other areas and enjoying success despite some rather controversial weeks surrounding American Idol and beefs with radio stations. Nicki Minaj has teamed up with MAC Cosmetics once again, and now has a follow-up to her M.A.C Viva Glam “Pink Friday” lipstick. Her last shade of course suited her Pink Friday theme as it was a fun and flinty barbie doll pink, but it appears that the rapper is switching things up for a bit and opting to offer a limited edition lavender shade versus her signature pink.
Here’s a peep at her new ad:
And here’s a closer look at the limited edition lavender shade:
The MAC Viva Glam Nicki 2 edition is part of the Viva Glam collection. The line’s profits will go directly to the MAC Aids Fund. The product is expected to raise a whopping $ 37 million.
Nicki’s new Lavender Viva Glam Lipstick will also be available in a lipglass and the product will go on sale February 9, and will go for $15.
In related news, fans of Nicki Minaj are upset that the Head Barbie did not manage to snatch up any Grammys nominations this year, despite her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded making the awards consideration deadline. Nicki has not yet made any comments about the disappointing news.
Cute lipstick. She didn’t get nominated because she keeps putting out the same damn album #shrugs
