As we recently reported, Whitney Houston’s mother Cissy Houston is causing a lot of controversy with her new book entitled Remember Whitney. The book was supposed to be her own personal account of Whitney’s life and what she experienced being the mother of the late and very legendary singer who died tragically a year ago due to drug usage. The book is causing issues in the family, and most specifically, it’s been reported that Bobby Brown and Bobbi Kristina are not happy with Cissy for what she’s written in the book. According to multiple reports, neither are happy with how they are being portrayed in Cissy’s writings.

Bobby Brown feels like Cissy is blaming him for Whitney’s drug addiction in the book (although it was recently confirmed that it was actually her brother Michael that got her started on cocaine usage), but Bobbi Kristina is reportedly upset about the book because she feels her grandmother wrote about her in a way that suggested that she will meet the same tragic fate as her mother.

Bobbi Kristina even took to her Twitter account to confirm the reports and flat-out called the book “disrespectful.”

When asked by Access Hollywood how she feels about her granddaughter criticizing her book, Cissy says:

“She’s grieving. [She’s] really grieving. Bobbi Kris knows — she better know — that I love her. Anything I can do for her, I’ll be there. I wouldn’t say anything [bad] about my daughter. That’s MY daughter, whom I loved with all my heart.

“I love Krissy because she belongs to my daughter, all right? I think that she’s just grieving. That’s the only other thing I can say about it.”

  1. SMH! Cissy really doesn’t get it. That child is mad because she has already labeled her a drug addict who will meet the same fate her mother did. What young person wants to learn their own grandmother doesn’t think they stand a chance?

  2. Whitney’s momma needs to have a seat. She was wrong to write the book so soon after Whitney’s death and even more wrong for not taking Bobbi Kris’ issues with it seriously.
