Mother-to-be Kim Kardashian hasn’t let her pregnancy keep her from being in the spotlight as the reality TV star can still be caught out in many of public places with her rapper boo Kanye West. And she is now taking her shot at an acting career as Kim landed a role in Tyler Perry’s new film Temptation. Aside from being bothered and hurt by people calling her fat, even by those who call themselves her family members, and having to deal with a messy, drawn out divorce with Kris Humphries, Kim Kardashian is excited about getting to see herself on the big screen for the first time and talks in an interview with BET about her new movie role in the new Tyler Perry film that is set to hit theaters this Friday. And Kim says that this new acting gig of hers is something that is very different from what she is used to, her career being centered around reality television:

“It was definitely different from what I have ever done before. But I still felt like filming my show, you become really aware of the camera presence around you even though it’s really different when you do a film and there’s scripts, you know, lighting and it’s a whole different ball game. But you can tell when someone feels confident around a camera. So that at least made me feel, or at least from what everyone was telling me, that the presence you, I didn’t have to break that barrier where some people will do. But you know, it is my first big role, it was something that I was really nervous coming into. But Tyler made me feel, as a director, really confident about the role that I was playing and I really enjoy it.”

As for her and Kanye’s baby that is due in July, Kim says she has many friends of all races, some of whom have biracial children, and has talked to them about the kinds of things that her and Kanye should expect raising a biracial child. Kim says regardless that she will instill in their child not to look at a person and see the color of their skin:

“You know, I think that I have a lot of friends that are all different nationalities, and their children are bi-racial. So they have kind of talked to me a little bit about it, and what to expect and what not to expect. But I think that the most important thing is, how I would want to raise my children, is just to not see color. That’s important to me…But I also think there will be so many experiences, like I was saying earlier, that you won’t really know how to prepare for until you really go through it. So I think raising a child in general is challenging, but I think that as long as you’re really open-minded, and you don’t have any preconceived ideas of how you’re going to really try to raise your children, it really keeps this like broad, just, spectrum…Obviously, you want your children, like for me, to travel the world and experience different races and different cultures everywhere, so I think that would be just something that’s important for me. Just give as much information as I could.”

  1. I’m definitely skipping this movie. Not just because Kim is in it, but the trailers were nothing but a couple of minutes worth of terrible acting and cheesy story lines.

  2. Kim may not teach her child to see color, but if it’s a girl, she’ll teach her to see dollar signs and bank accounts. Just like her momma taught her.

  3. I’m not enthusiastic about this movie at all. Kim can’t act and neither can Lance with her fine self.

  4. Sigh…I’m ready for Kim to have a seat. I’m sure Tyler Perry put her in the movie because he thought she could get some white people out to see the movie. It looks like it hurts to watch, bad acting all throughout that trailer.

  5. Girl whatever. Everything comes down to money with her and her fam, so I expect the baby to develop the same sad mentality.

  6. She struggled to answer the question for the most part. And she sees color herself. She requires her men to be black, famous, and rich. IJS.

  7. About having her talks with her buddy’s about raising a biracial child (rolled eyes) she act like she is the first ever. How about learning how to braid & grease its hair should it be a girl child, making sure him or her creams there skin daily, teaching the child about there biracial background as deems things sound way more important to me

  8. Shaz u know darn well she will not be the one combing this kids hair! LMAO, I think she should just fade into the darkness her and her Baby daddy.
