Beyonce made it clear that 2013 would be her year, and already it’s been full of controversy for the superstar and successful singer. It pretty much started after the singer sang at The President’s Inauguration for his second term in office when she was accused of lip syncing. Beyonce clapped back at the accusations in the form of a press conference and decided to shut down the media with a stellar live rendition of The Star Spangled Banner. She then went on to put together an amazing show for her Super Bowl half time performance, and then promptly announced her upcoming World Tour, The Mrs. Carter Show, which sold out completely in a matter of minutes everywhere. Just when things looked great for the singer, she took things a step further and released a documentary, Life is But a Dream on HBO. Ratings for the documentary broke records, but the release of a new song by the singer called “Bow Down” would launch new criticism for Beyonce. Beyonce doesn’t seemed to be fazed though by the backlash, and maybe that’s because she’s feeling a lot more bold and fearless these days, sentiments she expressed in her interview with British Vogue.
Beyonce told her fans she had something big to share today, and it appears that big thing is a new Pepsi commercial. As we reported recently, she signed on to a new deal with Pepsi for about $50 million, and in the commercial, she’s playing some of her new music in the background. It’s rumored that the new song in the commercial is called “Grown Woman” and will be on her next studio album that is set to drop this year.
In the commercial, Beyonce is seen dancing with a group of her old selves that represent various looks she’s had throughout her career. Check out the commercial and new song below:
