BET recently boasted on the ratings for the return of The Game for its sixth season, but it was clear the network embellished on the numbers. After the premiere, BET tweeted that the show had amassed a whopping 4 million viewers, but Nielsen would shut down the reports and confirm that the series only racked in over 2 million. Now of course over 2 million viewers is far from a flop, but the ratings have declined a big deal since last season. And damage control would explain why the network wasn’t honest about the numbers. With the exit of stars Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall, the network decided to bring in actress Lauren London. However, it appears Lauren may not be able to satisfy the original fans of the show seeing as they have put together an online petition demanding that the network brings back their original favorites Tia and Pooch.
The petition was created by Tasha Delaine, and here’s the reason she says she started the petition. She writes:
The reason for me starting this petition Is to bring back two of the original main characters TIA MOWRY & POOCH HALL to the Tv hit show (THE GAME) that us the fans grew to love many many years ago from the time we saw them on the CW network from season 1-3 till now, the reason for us the fans bringing THE GAME back to TV were/Is because we fell so In love with the characters of the show, now that the main two characters are no longer apart of the show we the fans Is not happy at all, we didn’t work our tails off to bring the show back to see new characters come along and replace the old ones, we did that to keep seeing the original actors/actresses, If BET wanted changed to the show they could have just added new characters not got rid of the main two HUGE characters Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall who we stood by from the very beginning and supported so much and still supporting till this very day..
Tasha also demands the network to listen to the fans or risk canceling the series due to low ratings. Interestingly enough, although the petition has garnered nearly one thousand signatures, it hasn’t stopped BET from already renewing The Game for another season. The network just confirmed the news a couple of days ago.
The petition may also fall flat considering Tia Mowry’s show Instant Mom just got picked up by NickMom, another channel by Nickelodeon.
I so understand how they feel but BET is known for messing things up. I hate to say it but this show is done. If they love Tia, they should support her new show.

I kind of think Tia wanted to leave. Look how terrible the show has been since coming to BET. She has a new show, so it looks like she’s just trying to move on.

As long as The Game is on BET, it will be a mess. I’m happy Tia has a new show and is moving on. BET has completely trashed this show. Sad.

This is why I hate BET. All they do is ruin good things. TV One is wiping the floor with them too.

I agree with everything the petitioner said but it’s OVER. I loved the game but the writing was already falling off when it came to BET. Then getting rid of Tia and Pooch was the nail in the coffin. Then I don’t think everybody realized how important Kelly was, she was missed. I blame BET but I also blame Ms. Akil she ruining the game just like she ruined girlfiends trying to replace toni with monica SMH. Lady please.
Pooch and Tia left cause they wanted to. The outgrew the show, so no sense in signing a petition. I would love if they brought the white girl back.

I think that they should have brought back Derwin when Malik was in the hospital, now that would have been a surprise. But i agree they do need to bring back the 2 main characters Derwin and Mel because without them the show just aint the same. Its not really that good to me now the only thing that makes it a little bit interesting is the stuff tasha is going through and Malik
“The Game” that we have grown with over the years touched on more realistic topics.. I think now their just trying to entertain with no regards to a storyline.. Lauren London is not a good fit for the show I don’t see her bringing anything to the game her role or maybe it’s just her style of acting imulates amost of the other roles she has played.brandy has brought her own personal touch to the show she has found a space for herself but other than that reuniting the old cast is necessary even if tia mowry asked for more money she is worth every penny and the longevity of the show is questionable I have seen episode 1 with the new cast members and the very last episode meanwhile I watch all of seasons 1-5 every Saturday Pooch & Tia are true talent they made us believe and go through the motions with them bringing Britney Daniels (Kelly) could be a start to a reunion I truly hope some sort of compromise arises because it is a true deal breaker for viewers who’ve supported the show through the years..
B-tches better bring back Melanie and Derwin becausean a lot of fans stop watch so didonly one watched was Kelly and Tasha then I started to hate it again so bring Bach Tia and Pooch……Me line and Derwin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Laura London and the new guy Blue bring nothin to the show at all. Malik is all over the place. They need to make it feel more like real life how it used to be. Why is Tasha and Malik living in a hotel. That’s a part of the show that doesn’t Seem realistic. There is really no story line behind any of the characters. At least bring Jazz and her hubby back they are hilarious. Even if Melanie never returns Derwin brings spice to the show. Please bring them back.
Yes bring them back. I stopped watching it until I seen that kelly was back.The two new characters storyline suck I flip the channel when it’s time for their parts. BET keep Brandy love her character
